Yes it was a beautiful place to be …..BUT there were so many odd situations during our stay that made us so happy to be leaving after 2 weeks… too long. So the first one and the worst one. Breakfast finished at 11am we went at 10.40 got everything we needed well before 11am. At 11,05 we were still finishing our breakfast and a young, obnoxious guy came along and tried to take our plates while we were still eating. He stood watching us shouting you have 5 minutes,,,the rudest person ever. I was shocked never ever been treated this way. Then the evening meals were awful considering this was a 4 star hotel.mushy broccoli and awful seafood. The hotel is deathly no warmth or happiness. The cleaning staff were wonderful and friendly. The room was wonderful but I would never recommend this place if you want a happy environment there is something not quite right and it shows.
Delighted with our stay in a superior room with a sea (& pool) view & all inclusive. Stayed with my adult daughter on my birthday week. Lovely spacious room & big comfortable twin beds pushed together. Excellent large & quite private balcony with sunbeds, table & chairs & good views. Close to a range of shops & a very short walk to the sandy beach. Morro Jable village about 15 mins easy walk away. Parking available on the street close by (or private underground car park if you qualify). Arrived late but there was cava at reception & a magnificent 3-course meal saved for us (+ more cava!). All the staff were welcoming, hard-working & helpful. Pool was heated & there appeared to be sunbeds available most of the time (not always in the sun at this time of year!). 3 tennis courts & table tennis but crazy golf looked neglected. Good bar & excellent cocktails. Plenty of tasty variety for breakfast & dinner (labelling could be improved though). Entertainment was variable & typical of the Canary Islands but most not for us! Cute ‘resident’ cats … & a hedgehog family around the covered outside smoking area. We love the peace of Morro Jable & hope to return - almost certainly to this hotel as it offers exceptional value for money.
I booked a weeks holiday at the Faro Jandia through Jet2 staying on a half board tariff in a sea view room. I travelled with my son . It was his suggestion to return to this hotel after a successful trip at the same time last year. I have stayed at this hotel many times either with my son or my wife and on each occasion I have found the hotel to be excellent. Its location is well placed for the excellent beach and the shops or if you fancy a relatively short walk into the old town itself .
The one drawback for this hotel is the coach transfer offered by Jet2 . Its takes at least 90 minutes on the bus and you tend to be one of the last drop offs which after a late arrival time meant we arrived at the hotel after 11pm . Car hire is very competitive in Fuerteventura so I think if we are to return to this hotel I would hire a car at the airport and commute myself. Alternatively you could book the hotel directly and if you stay 12 nights or more the hotel will pick you up.
On arrival check in was quick and efficient and they provided a cold meal in the dinning room.
The rooms are all very similar . They are spacious and provide tea making facilities and a fridge and also have plenty of seating with a decent sized balcony. The bathroom had a good walk in shower WC bidet and WHB which all work well .
Our room was cleaned well and towels and bed linen are changed at your request. Beach towels are also provided . The view from our room was reasonable however from past experience the higher up you are the better it is.
Breakfast in the morning provides most items you would expect. I did not see an option for poached eggs but the orange juice is freshly squeezed and if you want some Fizz added or even vodka to perk you up this is available. There was a very good variety of breads on offer which is nice and personally I liked the freshly made pancakes.
Dinner in the evening was usually on a themed basis . Some of the freshly cooked items could be underdone so watch carefully when they are cooking it to make sure it is done to your preference, The deserts are in my opinion the star of the show. Everyone I had was delicious. The small thing I might criticise is the variety of cheeses on offer which is limited.
The other point to note are the bar prices which I thought was reasonable. We had some really nice wines with our meal and reasonable prices. There is an all inclusive package available but this tends to limit the drink choices so personally its not for me but might be for others.
The service from the staff at all meals and also from the bar was excellent so if you feel the same I would encourage to personally tip where you felt is due.
We hired a car from a Cicar so we could explore the island and also play golf a few times . The hotel charge for parking however generally I found parking on the main street to be straight forward. We also arranged to return the car at the airport which avoided the return bus trip.
My son used the gym and spa a lot . He found the gym quiet with the indoor pool and sauna generally well used.
Overall I find this hotel great value even after five visits and would certainly consider a sixth visit. Looking around the dining room I did notice some familiar faces so I think the hotel does attract a lot of repeat customers which tells you something.
This was our second visit to this hotel and resort. It really is a very central location but a calm and tranquil oasis. Rooms are large, well equipped and kept very clean. Food is good with lots of choice. The staff are absolutely amazing. There is also an indoor spa which is definitely worth a visit. Hopefully we will return soon.
Another great stay at this hotel. Yes, it is predominantly German but there are English and Spanish people too, all guests friendly and I get to practice my school German and Spanish ! We met new people and saw guests we’ve seen there previously.
Friendly and welcoming Hotel staff. Large room with very comfortable bed, sofa and a large balcony with reclining chairs and foot stools with a pool view and a view of the sea and lighthouse. Guaei kept our room clean and tidy.
The staff work hard both at lunchtime and evening and you never have to wait long to be served.
The hotel is in a good location and there are plenty of shops nearby if you fancy doing some shopping. There are a couple of supermarkets if you run out sun cream or anything else you might need. You can hire sun beds and umbrellas on the beach and beach bars if you are not wanting to go back to the hotel for lunch.
We always stay on an All Inclusive basis as it gives free entrance into the spa and if you are staying 12 nights or longer, there is a free airport transfer which is greatly appreciated.
We have never had a problem with the food in the evening, salad bar and always 2 options for meat or fish, with a choice of vegetables, potatoes and pasta dishes and even a roast! If you have a sweet tooth, small dessert cakes and ice cream and a cheese selection if you have room!
We enjoyed the entertainment, it finishes at 11pm with the bar closing at midnight. It was lovely to see the Manager again who plays the saxophone on a couple of evenings. Great ABBA act, we also really enjoyed the singer/saxophone act and acrobatic acts. DJ Herbie plays a couple of nights, takes you back to the 80s!
It was lovely to see some familiar faces - Veronica/Juan/Ruth/Manuel/Daniel/Freddy/Fefe and Aruncha - apologies if I’ve spelt that wrong. There were other members of staff that gave us excellent service but unfortunately didn’t catch their names.
Really looking forward to coming in December.
We stayed here in March 2025. It is a long way from the airport, and we would suggest a private transfer to minimise travelling time. The hotel is very well situated very near the centre of the town, and with a vast sandy beach just across the road, and many shops, some high-end nearby. The hotel entrance is in the middle of a line of shops, but once inside it is like an oasis. Food was mixed, all buffet style. There was nightly entertainment, some quite good, but the drinks service was terrible at times due to shortage of staff. The hotel had a lovely pool area. We enjoyed the town - the number and variety of the shops. Great walks along the beach in both directions, and through the older parts to the small harbour.
Super Lage! Riesiger Strand in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Superior Zimmer mit großem Balkon und Liegen. Am Pool immer genug Liegen frei, das „Reservieren“ der Liegen wird vom Personal aktiv eingedämmt.
Over the past 2 years I have stayed at this hotel for a period of 5 weeks and thoughly enjoyed the stay, but at the last visit I noiced unusual delays in getting respose to queries from reception with often little interest and a lack of urgency shown. Reception was often looked after by poor English speaking employees, as hotel guests appeared to be prominently German I guess there is little reason for any re-training as the hotel mainly caters for non English speakingand as I get along with a little Spanish rarely had any problems, however this incident did concern me and other guests standing around the reception area.
I heard a hotel receptionist arguing with a customer, who was about to check out of the hotel, the guest was accused of not paying the hotel account and raised her voice and shouted "your not leaving until you show me the account paid receipt" in perfect English ! An inexcusable and highly embarrassing outburst by the hotel receptionist, the poor departing guest and other guests waiting to check out were clearly shocked by this unnecessary outburst.
I did notice the hotel receipt was handed to the reception lady who muttered a thank you but with no reception manager appearing I did wonder if these events happened frequently.
Beware, don't forget to have all receipts ready for inspection when checking out.
Leider sind die Zimmer in die Jahren gekommen. Die Badzimmer sind zwar sauber aber schwer verbraucht. Rennovierung wäre dringend nötig.
Stayed here for ten nights n March in a superior sea view room. We had stayed here about nine years ago and enjoyed the hotel and the fabulous beach. The hotel is very well situated to walk into Moro Jable.
The hotel itself is excellent. The rooms, the dining room. the bar and the pool area are well maintained and very welcoming. The staff are very friendly. The bar prices are very reasonable and there is a water and ice dispenser in the bar area by the pool where you can help yourself to cold drinks.
Sadly, the food was a big disappointment. We stayed on half board and the breakfast was OK although there was no porridge! The dinners were a big let down. Not a lot of choice and very repetitive. The cooking station provided very small pieces of fish or thin steak not very well cooked.
I don't usually return to hotels, I take the attitude that it's a big world and there are thousands of hotels to choose and it's always exciting trying new places. However I had been here on a solo visit about 10 years ago and was impressed so thought I'd revisit it with my partner, and guess what, I'm even more impressed!
We had a top floor superior Seaview room, which was well worth the extra. The room was extremely spacious with a huge balcony complete with table chairs and sunbeds. The bed was comfortable with nice quality bedding and towels, it had everything you could wish for including beach towels, sunhats, robes and slippers.
I enjoy showering and the shower was excellent, plenty of hot water with good pressure in a spacious cubicle.
Lighting was good for applying make-up etc with a separate shaving mirror.
The hotel was dominated by German guests however I find that the Germans have high standards so for me this is a plus.
We were on a half board basis, breakfast was more than adequate, I found the eggs to be especially good.
Dinner was always very good, there was always something to tempt,we particularly liked the white linen table cloths and napkins, I hope they persevere with it as it certainly adds a touch of class to the room when so many other hotel restaurants seem to resemble school canteens, could even add candles in the evening?
We never got to use the spa so can't comment but I'm sure it's outstanding.
Lastly the staff, absolutely outstanding, everyone we came in to contact with was brilliant and couldn't do enough for you, they even arranged for me to watch a particular football match in my room.
We will return.
9 lovely sunny days at this hotel cannot fault the hotel deserves its 4 stars.
Used the spa very good everything clean and spotless loved the table cloths in resturant not like some hotels wooden tables sprayed with cleaner after use.
Evening entertainment a bit iffy
Food a BIG let down specialy the cooking stations food under cooked chicked, fish raw! coud not be eaten for fear of upset tummy felt guilty leaving food on plates to be taken away, but there is plenty of salad and desserts a plenty. did not go hungry.
Will not be back but not because of the hotel its just a bit quite after dark for our liking in the resort.
A lovely hotel in a lovely place. Great value for money. Staff excellent, really nice, friendly helpful and professional. Definitely a hotel we we return to. Big shout out to Ivan on reception, very helpful chap.
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, nice homely, traditional feel to the place. The staff were all exceptional. The main nationality of guests is German and this is reflected in the food which we found to be very good. Just don't expect a full English fry up or pie and chips. The bar prices are very reasonable and we loved the location all be it situated between shops and amusement arcade on the main street. Once inside the hotel it's peaceful and welcoming. Main age group of guests was over 60 , though more families did arrive for Christmas period. Kettle in room and some water on arrival provided as well as some bathroom toiletries. We would definitely return to this hotel.
Gutes Hotel mit sehr freundlichen Personal und absolut ruhig,lädt ein zum Wiederkommen
TA members from the UK will notice that there not many reviews on this hotel so forgive me if I post a long summary of the hotel and its facilities
We arrived for a 5 night stay with Jet 2 and the transfer took one hour twenty minutes which allowing for one drop off in Costa Calma and three as we entered Jandia did not seem too bad. The front of the hotel is not grand but walking through the door and its like a different world. Only one other couple got off the coach with us and we beat them to reception where we received a quick check in and a drink . A friendly porter took us and our luggage to our room (315) and gave a quick explanation of how the free safe worked. Ours was a pool view room and I had asked for a room off the ground but we could still see the sea from the balcony.
Our room was spacious with 2 single beds, a settee, chair, fridge, TV, kettle and plenty of draw and hanging space. The bathroom had a walk in shower, bidet, hair dryer, toiletries and good sized bathroom towel. On the balcony was 2 chairs and 2 sun loungers and was very private unless you stood right on the edge. The room was very quiet except in the bathroom where you could hear voices from somewhere else in the hotel. The TV only had a couple of English speaking news channels, one English speaking film channel but on some channels you can change the audio to the original recorded language if English. The air conditioning is good and sometimes we needed to turn it off.
The restaurant is on the ground floor so there are some tables to eat outside and notices ask for men to wear long trousers. ( More of that later). Many tables are for 2 only because this hotel seems to be popular with mature couples and the food is by way of a buffet. The hotel only has 214 rooms so there is not the widest choice of hot food available at dinner but there is show cooking for fish and meat. Breakfast has omelettes to order , egg, bacon, small sausages and sometimes beans as well as cold meats etc. Service is excellent, coffee at breakfast brought straight away to your table as you sit down and tables cleared and reset straight away. At dinner your drinks order is taken quickly and I was surprised what good value the drinks were for a 4* hotel. House wine 4 euro for a decent sized glass and a 750 mil bottle 18 euro. Not all waiters speak good English as their second language but their enthusiasm for their job outweighs any mistakes. There was never a queue in the evening for tables
There does not appear to be any day time entertainment activities, not even Aqua Aerobics but there is nightly entertainment 6 nights a week. This is either a singer/s, acrobats or dancers, some are quite good. Table service at night in the bar and attendance varies but the stools at the bar are very popular.
There is a Spa offering massages and beauty treatments. There is an indoor pool with a reasonable temperature, sauna and steam room. The latter was popular and I find it great to sit in the buff in the sauna with different nationalities late in the afternoon to learn more about other guests.
The main pool is not large but the sun loungers are good quality and despite notices you always get the odd idiot who insists on putting their towel out early and disappearing when there are always spare beds throughout the day. The beach is only 200 metres across the road, sandy and wide with all the facilities you need. The pool towels are large and good quality.
Free Wi-Fi is provided but I found it impossible to access in my room but was good downstairs. The notices for men to wear long trousers are all around but this resulted in men wearing jeans and trainers which to me defeated the point and maybe smart dress shorts should be allowed . The majority of guests were German with a few English , Belgium and Spanish. I would compare this hotel to a good quality RIU with excellent service and comfort. The location for the shops and beach is good and I would definitely recommend this hotel for older people rather than families with children or you couples wanting night life
I will hopefully return
Lovely hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. Food choices not the greatest but still plenty to choose from.
I have stayed in this hotel three times previously with my wife however on this occasion I returned for a weeks holiday with my son to get some pre winter sun and relaxation playing golf at three of the islands golf courses. On this occasion we booked a package through Jet2 Holidays staying in a sea view room on a half board basis. Our flight arrived on time late in the evening and the worst thing about this hotel is that it takes about 1 hour 15 minutes in a bus to transfer and this can be worse if the holiday company is dropping people off at other resorts such as Costa Calma. This time we were lucky and the bus took us straight to Morro Jable and we were third to be dropped off. A good option to this is to book direct with the hotel for a minimum of 10 days and the hotel will give you a free courtesy transfer. Arriving at the hotel is strange due to the amusement arcade adjacent however once you enter into the hotel and witness the surroundings you are made very welcome . The receptionist also noted that I had stayed in the hotel previously which was nice and after a quick updating on restaurant times etc we were allocated a room on the 6th floor which gave us a wonderful view. The hotel also provides late arrivals with a cold buffet in the restaurant which was gratefully received. The room has the same decor as the one we had the first time we stayed in 2015 but it is spacious and has a good balcony for sitting out The bathroom has however been refurbished to a good standard. Breakfast and Dinner are served on a buffet basis. We particularly liked the freshly made orange juice at breakfast and we thought the breads and pasties were excellent. The hot food could be slightly warmer and sometimes the choices were to say the least different but you have to remember the vast majority of the hotel guests are German so choices are geared accordingly. Dinner again was geared to the German market but on the whole were good with the deserts being excellent. Personally I would have liked a greater cheese selection. Drink prices were very reasonable and my son and I enjoyed a different red wine every night . All excellent.
The one huge asset this hotel has are the the staff. They all work extremely hard. Juan in the dining room runs about, constantly on the go making sure you are attended to.
My son enjoyed the gym and spa however remember there are German guests so you are sure to meet naked bodies in the sauna.
The hotel is very well placed in the town with that idyllic beach across the road. It really is second to none. The hotel is also close to shops if you are looking for a branded item or a 15 minute into the old town.
On the last day of our holiday we had a late flight so we decided to play golf which meant an early checkout. On speaking to reception they assisted with this and kept our luggage and gave us a courtesy room on our return to allow us to shower and change.
Thanks again Faro Jandia I am sure I will return at some point
