Breakfast was only some donuts under a glass but there seemed to be a menu for purchase but no one manning the counter.
We parked on the street and saved.
Homewood central areas had nice restos and brekky and coffee
AC was exposed and loud like in a motel - didn't fit the style of the hotel.
Ironing board was jacked and broken. Staff should notice and just replace it.
lovely lobby, nice rooms, friendly staff, great location
Breakfast was non-existent. One urn of coffee and one of hot water. Ran out of artificial creamer and NO real milk. Reception said 'oh well, the truck didn't deliver' instead of sending someone to the corner to get milk. REALLY not the way to start the day. Such a small amenity would have made a huge difference to my stay and my rating. If you have no breakfast, at least do coffee well.
DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL!!! I booked a four night stay 11-May to 15-May and paid in advance IN FULL through Expedia. My flight was delayed and I arrived on 12-May. I advised the hotel in advance that I would be delayed on the email address on their website and asked that they hold my reservation (no response). However, when I arrived they had cancelled my booking, resold the room and there were no other rooms available, so at midnight on 12-May I was turned away. The hotel had absolutely no care in the world that it was midnight and I had no where to stay that evening. It is clear the hotel suffered no financial loss as a result of my 'no show' on 11-May as they had already been paid and they resold the room. So actually they have been paid twice. However, they have refused to issue me with a refund. MOST APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Goes without saying I will never be using the Aloft chain of hotels again... I hope profiteering from my misfortune was worth it...
Had to wait 4 hours (7-11pm) to check in due to computers down. Room 519 in total disrepair. Electric blinds didn’t work. Peeled paint, patched holes, exposed electric cords everywhere. Paid $215 for the room. Do not stay here. Stay elsewhere
the rooms were very nice
I like all the lively colors and contrasting. It reminded me of Arnold's bedroom from the the tv show called 'Hey, Arnold'.
It would have been nice if the staff let us know what floor our room was on. She only gave us our cards and didn't go into further detail. We got off on the wrong floor and had to guess where to go after a long 3 hour drive.
Accessible, well appointed. Comfortable . Nice variety of restaurants literally across the street. Food was excellent.
Nothing
There were unfortunately a lot of issues during my stay; thankfully Caleb at the front-desk was very helpful and was able to resolve most of the issues, but given below is what I encountered. If you ask me, I would never stay at your hotel again - the only thing working in your favor according to me is a great location, but sadly nothing else!
I understand your hotel is old, but certainly expect any hotel toilets to be clean - I checked 3 rooms and all of the toilet bowls had big stains inside as if somebody had not flushed properly!
Your old ACs make a lot of sound - again have been in several old hotels, but never faced any issue there.
You leave kid-sized bath towels in the room which was very surprising!
There is no phone in the room which is ridiculous - if you had a problem or wanted something, you have to go all the way to front-desk
The office chairs have stains on them, really bad!
The warm water takes 2-3 minutes to come, which again though an older property does not mean that we should face such basic issues!

Nothing
Everything. They also held my deposit for over a month and charged me twice for the room I had to call multiple times to get a refund. Management was unprofessional
The staff was very pleasant and friendly.
Our AC didn’t work and we had no hot water.
Breakfast was muffins in a box and orange juice or water to drink. If you has any other breakfast, you had to buy it
The location was great
The toilet in our room ran all night long.
Our window shade was broken so the light from the outside glared inside.
Great staff and location with great places to eat and shop near by.
Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were flat
Location
Problems with water temperature. Had to move rooms 2 times
