Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Casino was interesting, but I don’t gamble. Outside of the hotel, there really is no where to walk to. Was further from downtown then I realized when booking. I could see where this would be a good place for large groups.

In the reviews I read before my stay, some were negative. I did not find any of those experiences thru my stay. I would definitely return.

Really enjoyed the uniqueness of the hotel, and the dining options were delicious. Definitely will stay again to hit up the casino and the other restaurants there.

I loved everything about our stay here. The property was exceptionally clean and the staff was amazing. We came KC for a football game, but our stay here was the highlight of our trip.

Love the Casino and hotel! Always smells so good. And the train theme is awesome. Most of the restaurants were closed. Wished they would stay open longer especially the Mexican one with the big bar. For breakfast the Primo restaurant was delicious. We will definitely stay there again.

The room was nice and clean; beds comfortable and the staff was great! Enjoyed the casino and the food was really good. I would definitely visit again.

Work out room had no towels or water. Food was mediocre. Otherwise ok.

Terrible

Good parking, clean restaurants insde.

Place was dirty, bathroom shower did not drain. Room was hot and muggy. Half the restaurants are closed minus a couple hours on Friday and Saturday. Expedia and the casino don’t tell you until checkout time, but they charge you $19/day regardless of being promoted as “fees included”. Will NEVER stay here or anywhere this company owns again.

Wasn't able to get internet on wifi items , was supposed to have on our stay. Are room door would not shut all the way.

The check in people were fantastic but the check out person made no sense. I used a business card and needed a receipt she told me there wasn’t one to print and that the third party I booked through would send it. Incorrect never got an updated one since the fees were higher there than on third party site. I’ve booked multiple times on Expedia and never once was told that from any hotel. Also from Vegas and never been told that you can’t have a receipt at check out.

The casino was horrible as well. No food places open except for two spots. Do not go to the sports bar there. Horrible service and the food was not that great either. The waiter told us they ran out of chicken wings and the restaurant was dead. The chef couldn’t even cook a steak medium rare even with it being sent back twice.

The room itself was very nice and quiet. No issues with the room very clean.

Did not care for the King size bed, was a little too firm for me & the wife., the room was a little worn but clean.
