Not much over priced for the property. Restaurants closed only open on weekends. Bar food was good maybe because it was only
place to get nourishment other then a vending machine.
No restaurant’s open but there is the players club restaurant if you are a high roller. 😏
Great location for where I was driving. Room was super cozy, clean and everything was very comfortable. The quesadilla I had from the sports bar at the property was probably one of the best ones I’ve ever eaten for a really reasonable price too!
I didn’t like that it had smoking at the casino- but that’s my own fault for not reading up on that so they still get a great score for everything.
The dinner was exquisite. We had lobster tails, asparagus, crab cakes, and a wedge salad. The complimentary bread was amazing as well.
The toilet in our room kept running, and I would need to shake the handle. We ran out of toilet paper, and we used the kleenex, but they were wet from the water in the bathroom sink coming out too fast.
Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs. Great places to eat - everything from wonderful sandwiches to Crab Legs and juicy steaks. Take it from a local no one is a stranger there and they treat you like gold. They don't set the standard they are the standard.
This hotel needs a better system when it comes to housekeeping. I called room service over 30 times because we needed towels the line was busy all 30 times. I finally called the front desk and it still took 32 minutes. The older lady on the morning of 6/5 at the front desk was very nasty and didn’t seem to want to help. I will never stay her again. We left and moved to the Marriott Courtyard.

Great food! Very scenic location & enjoyed the casino!
We had a hot tub in our room, but needed a stool or some other apparatus to get these old bones out of it!
I loved the location. The bed was successful and the room was clean.
I think they were totally booked, so when I arrived to check-in (at my pre-designated time), they didn’t have a room ready for me. That was 4pm. I had to wait until 7:41pm before a room was ready!
I recognize that there were issues with staffing housekeeping services in order to get the rooms ready for other guests, and I understand that having late check-outs is also a factor - but come on, folks. This felt like when planes overbook flights and ask people to take a different flight (through no one’s fault except the airline), except that those passengers get compensated. The lovely front desk people gave me a 10% off coupon for breakfast, which was nice, but for 3.5 hours late for check in, I was actually thinking breakfast should be entirely complimentary (perhaps this is unreasonable of me, since I’ve never had this happen before).
Everyone who worked there was amazing, by the way. They all were dealing with the delays in checking people in like champs.
