Pros:

Kurzer Weg zum Strand. Netter Empfang mit Gutschein für Weinprobe.
Genügend Liegen, auch im Schatten, vorhanden.
Essen draußen war problemlos möglich (Ende Mai).

Cons:

Fußweg in die City zu lang, zum Glück hatten wir ein Auto dabei.
Variante Bus scheint auch zu gehen.

Excellent standard of professional hotel. Always happy to stay.
Pros:

It's our sixth stay at this glorious hotel. The rooms are spotless. Staff very welcoming. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic. Such a variety. The pool is fabulous, really enjoyed Aqua fit. The hotel feels very safe and secure.
So much to do at the hotel. Tennis. Beach volleyball. The library where you can sit and chill. If you fancy it ,always something going on in the bar.

Cons:

Low calorie and fat free cakes so I can eat as much as I would like for breakfast!!! That lemon cake !!!!
That's it .....well perhaps a free shuttle from Faro?

Die Lage des Vila Galé Lagos in Strandnähe ist grundsätzlich sehr schön und auch die Hotelanlage macht auf den ersten Blick einen ansprechenden Eindruck, der beim zweiten hinsehen aber getrübt wird. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir außerdem die Freundlichkeit und das Engagement der Mitarbeitenden vor Ort, die jederzeit bemüht waren, Lösungen für die angesprochenen Probleme zu finden. Dennoch entstand zunehmend der Eindruck, dass das Personal strukturelle und technische Mängel des in die Jahre gekommenen Hauses letztlich nicht mehr angemessen kompensieren konnte.

Ebenso möchten wir ausdrücklich den außergewöhnlich professionellen Support der Mitarbeiter von Booking.com erwähnen. Erst durch deren Unterstützung war es letztlich möglich, den Aufenthalt vorzeitig zu beenden und eine Lösung für die Situation zu finden.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war sehr stark auf englische Gäste ausgerichtet und bot für ein klassisches kontinentales Frühstück nur eine sehr eingeschränkte Auswahl. Zudem waren die hartgekochten Eier regelmäßig kalt.

Deutlich schwerer wogen jedoch die technischen und hygienischen Mängel im Zimmer. Das Schlafsofa war defekt, der Föhn wies eine beschädigte Isolierung auf und in der Dusche führten lose Fliesen dazu, dass altes Wasser hervortrat.

Besonders problematisch war für uns die Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer, deren Lüfterrolle sichtbar stark verschmutzt beziehungsweise in unseren Augen mit Schimmel belastet war. Zwar reagierte das Personal schnell und bot alternative Zimmer an, allerdings befanden sich die dortigen Klimaanlagen in einem ähnlichen Zustand. Als Familie mit Kleinkind empfanden wir dies als erhebliches Hygiene- und Gesundheitsrisiko.

Unser Wunsch, den Aufenthalt vorzeitig zu beenden und lediglich die nicht genutzten Tage erstattet zu bekommen, wurde seitens des Hotels mehrfach abgelehnt. Insgesamt hinterließ das Hotel bei uns daher trotz guter Lage leider den Eindruck mangelnder Instandhaltung und eines nicht angemessenen Umgangs mit berechtigten Beschwerden.

Très bien mais peut faire mieux
Pros:

Propreté, Literie, buffet petit déjeuné, environnement magnifique, l'espace enfant et la proximité de la plage.

Cons:

Piscines vraiment trop froides (intérieure et extérieure) et pas d’accès au jacuzzi autorisé pour les enfants.
Buffet trop « continental » et classique, trop cher - ne reflète pas les spécialités culinaires du Portugal, on mange bien mieux à l'extérieur.
Personnel globalement peu aimable (au restaurant et à la piscine)

Schönes Hotel in Laufweite nach Lagos.
Pros:

Solides Hotel, und da im Mai wegen Vorsaison nicht allzu voll, war der Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Insbesondere der kurze Weg zum Strand und der herrliche große Pool waren super!

Cons:

Leider sehr hellhörige Zimmer, man hört nahezu alles aus den Nachbarzimmern, was die Nachruhe leider öfter gestört hat. Schade!
