Amazing people and wonderful staff like family.
Room cleaning in time , help in early check in if possible for them. Amazing
Idéal pour passage éclair à alger et service navette très pratique et toujours à l’heure
Seul bémol c est de tombé sur une chambre rénovée sinon bonjours les années 80 😉 mais il reste mon bon plan à alger
The room had shortfalls which have contributed to the poor score and these are as follows:
1. The bar area smells of cigarettes even though there were very few people in the bar.
2. Receptions advised to be at the airport so early that the AF desk was not open and did not open for some 45 minutes after arrival there.
3. The room smelled of cigarette smoke.
4. The curtains would not close and were clearly faulty.
I used to use this hotel between 2002 and 2008 and it looked just the same only dated, dark and smelly. The men’s toilets were appalling.
Paid £130 for one night, was surprised how much this hotel has gone downhill.
I just want to highlight and send a big S/O to my brother Lamine for the hospitality, the best cappuccino in North Africa and the great conversations. What a legend man!!!
We waited 1.5 hours past check-in for our family suite. When we finally got the key, the room looked like it had been “cleaned” by someone in a hurry to catch a flight: no towels, cigarette ashes on the floor, carpets unvacuumed, limescale decorating every bathroom surface, and a shower tap that doubled as a grip-strength exercise. Furniture? Let’s just say “vintage” and leave it at that.
At the pool (first day) no towels (apparently “coming in 15 minutes” — still missing an hour later), cloudy water, and loungers in various states of disrepair. The bar opens whenever it feels like it, and menus are optional — instead, you get a live reading of the day’s offerings.
Asked for an iron twice during our 3-night stay… it must still be on its way.
Check-out day brought the biggest surprise: apparently, in this hotel, once you check out of your room, you also check out of your right to sit by the pool. We were told to vacate our loungers at noon — something I’ve never experienced in any hotel. I asked for the Manager. He heroically… stayed hidden. Instead the receptionist was going back and forth from the office.
Luggage “storage” is just your bags sitting in a corner by reception. Self-service, of course, got our luggage ourselves.
Credit where it’s due: the receptionists, pool staff, and housekeepers are friendly and try hard. Sadly, management makes their job impossible.
This place calls itself 4-star, but even 3-star hotels would blush. If you can spend a little more, do it elsewhere. Your patience will thank you.
Dirty, poorly managed and the staff are unfriendly. I felt I was staying in a shelter. Really disappointed! I will never ever book a night in that place.
Poor service not as efficient lack of professionalism needs a lot of work to be done
Schade, war nicht so schön
This was the first time for me visiting any hotel in Algeria.
The service absolutely deserves instant 5 stars, because their reception was really nice and functioning, and they even let me go back to my room to get my phone case which i forgot there. For free.
Rooms were clean, except the deepest corners or the floor under the bed had little stains and dust. I personally didn't understand how the shower should have worked (it was ancient), but without the shower the bathroom was pretty functional and satisfying.
The food in the dining hall was absolutely delicious. Tons of different pastries, rice, meat, eggs in many variations, and lot of drinks you can choose of. I fully filled my stomach with food.
The hotel isn't far away from the airport. There is at least the hotel's own transit system available.
Overall very solid experience, would visit again.
Deeply Disappointing Stay at a Supposed “4-Star” Hotel**
I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience deserves attention. My stay at this hotel was a complete letdown, far below the standards one should expect from a 4-star establishment.
From the moment I arrived, the problems began. The check-in process was chaotic, with indifferent staff showing little interest in helping or answering questions. The room itself was a disaster — outdated, poorly cleaned, and riddled with maintenance issues. The air conditioning barely worked, the sheets felt questionable, and the bathroom was in dire need of attention. It was hard to believe this place had any stars at all.
Noise levels throughout the hotel were unbearable, with no soundproofing whatsoever. I barely slept. As for the advertised “amenities,” most were either closed, malfunctioning, or laughably substandard. Breakfast was forgettable at best — cold, bland, and insufficient.
Worst of all was the complete lack of concern from management. My attempts to raise issues were brushed off, with zero effort made to remedy the situation. Customer service? Nonexistent.
A deeply disappointing experience from start to finish. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking even a basic level of comfort, cleanliness, or courtesy. Definitely not worth the price — or the frustration.
regular location, personal little bit slow, rooms ok but quit old
Absolutely awful experience staying at this hotel. It is NOT 4 star more like -1 star. See photos of the room I stayed in. There was one worn out towel in the bathroom after calling 5 times house keeping eventually brought one more towel. Called room service for in room dining after multiple calls our meal arrived 1 hour later. Very strong smell of paint in the room. No curtains and dirty stains everywhere- see pictures. Won’t be staying here again!!
Disgusting hotel. Dirty and run down. Nowhere near four star. See photos. Won’t be staying here again!
Very poor hygiene
Very good service . Excellent staff . Very cooperative.
Mr Foudir and his entire front desk team very supportive . We are visiting regular from last 5 years . Excellent. Great
