It was a room and wasnt in the ghetto.
Pros:

Breakfast was ok and staff was nice and helpful.

Cons:

Top floor was warm in hallways. Pool is small and dirty and water was treated with excessive amunt of chlorine. Under renovations. Was not worth the price for sure.

Overall all good just a lot of broken items that need addressed .
Pros:

Need to let people know on line that it's being renovated . Was clean for the most part .

Cons:

A lot of broken issues , ( shower rod ) , rack in bathroom bent , bed pillows smelled like sweat . Not enough luggage carts , broken usb ports . Lady at front desk acted like she didn't like her job rude

When I go to check in I notice the place is under construction. Not hire a general contractor that hire trades to do various scopes construction. But the owner hires random people to remodel his hotel. The website did not state there was any construction. When I was checking in I was informed the pool was closed, I told the manager the website did not state that it was closed. She said if you click on the pool under the amenities it will show closed. I said who does that? Then I said I’ll just hit the gym, Nope it was closed as well. I stated that wasn’t on the app either. She agreed. When I got to the room, the drawers would not stay shut. I checked in and dealt with the construction. I noticed day 2 my counters restroom and coffee area had not been wiped off. I put baking soda in my bottled water and both places had baking soda on the counters after house keeping. Next, the floors had not been vacuumed since who knows when there were plastic pieces from new clothes tags on the floor in 2 locations. Yesterday I got a call from the hotel asking if they could do something in the room it will only be 29 minutes. I said that’s fine. I got back to my room around 5 my door was open and my blinds were gone. They never replaced them. Came back today noticed from the parking lot the blind was still not replaced. I went to front desk told them my beef told them I was checking out and would not be charged for the day. I proceeded to the room to gather my things and house keeping skipped my room they were gone for the day…. Horrible experience at Holiday Inn Express Alvin Texas.

My room was in excellent condition every day
Pros:

900 S. Loop 35 Alvin, my room was always cleaned everyday that I came in. The cleaning lady Angelica made sure everything was organized and clean.

Pros:

Decent amenities and the location was convenient.

Cons:

Not enough luggage carts available. Shower and bathroom was not very clean. Toilet did not appear to have been completely wiped down. Countertop was much the same. Shower needs a deep cleaning. Mildew and hair were all over. Towels appeared well used and needing replacement. Mentioned to desk staff person when leaving. I plan on frequent stays in that area and hope the room cleanliness improves. Great breakfast!
