Pros:

After an 8 hour drive from toronto, we were made to wait for around 25 minutes to check in. Nobody was there to receive us.

Storm brought water into the room, but the hotel staff did nothing till we had to repeatedly request. I was sleeping on the floor, due the syorm water wetting the bed.

Reception promised a refund for all the poor vacation status we were put into and then never responded back

We were locked out of the room one day prior, and then we had to request another key that we paid in advance

Sad, our vacation was totally screwed up. Never again. Breakfast quality really went down from our 3 previous visits

Cons:

Poor Service, rooms, and poor planning and execution. Staff full of words, but zero action without request

We enjoyed our time at Spark, a good price, friendly staff and had all that we needed.
Pros:

We liked the location, it was very central to many attractions we were interested in. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine for a cold breakfast - we did enjoy that you had Nutella for a spread choice!

Cons:

Nothing stands out too much. It was a good experience.

Would have liked to have seen recycling of plastic containers and bottles. All hotels we have been don't either.

Affordable and Friendly
Pros:

The hotel was a good place for a pit stop on a long road trip. It is basic, but really affordable compared to the other properties in the area. It was clean. The staff members were really friendly.

Cons:

The beds were not the most comfortable, but not unbearable by any means.

I thought based on room photos that we had selected a Room that had an additional chair in addition to the desk chair. The desk chair can best be described as a torture chair. Using 2 pillows helped some. The breakfast minimal and not refilled promptly. On checking in there was no one to be found. I ended up calling the hotel while standing at the check in counter. After about 15 rings the attendant came running to answer the phone. Poor girl was there by herself and had been back in the storeroom. She was extremely helpful and found us a second torture chair for our room so that my wife and I could both sit in a chair and read.

I liked the size of the room and the cleanliness of the hotel.

Cons:

Didn't like the breakfast options, didn't like that there was no microwave in the room and I didn't like the pillows.
