The breakfast experience was exceptional. Big welcome from the staff. Best coffee I’d had during the whole of my 1 month stay in UK. Delicious breakfast cooked exactly as I’d asked. I was tea impressed
Pre arrival information about the location of the nearest long stay parking would have been helpful. I was given the information when I rang the contact number but would have been good to have it before I arrived in Romsey. Also, I was a bit confused about where the main entrance was. A sign on the door facing the street would be useful.
Amazing old property
Being picky the shower room was slightly on small side
Perfectly placed in the middle of town, beautifully building and very well kept.
Nothing
The room was clean and spacious.
There were a couple of fixtures that were broken. Drawer handles missing, shower door handle was broken and a lamp wouldn't work.
Loved the old building, very central
Nothing
Very centrally located with friendly staff.
Lovely old hotel
Evening meal was superb
Having to find parking but wasn't difficult
It was a great location and friendly service
The room was boiling! Now I know it had two fans in, and the windows were slightly ajar. But even so, maybe adjusting the windows a bit so we could have more air flow. Ruined our experience as we couldn’t sleep well at all as it was so hot. I do understand it’s a heatwave so I sympathise with the fact there is only so much you can do. On the other hand, knowing it is so hot, it would have made sense for there to be a mini fridge with at least some cold refreshments so the bottles of water provided weren’t warm. I’m assuming you could of provided fresh water that was cold but I think for £130 this isn’t something you should be expected to ask for, the service could have been better in terms of offering something like this as I’m sure the whole team knew how hot it was. Sad because I’ve always enjoyed staying here, but I may consider other places next time.
A very nice stay. Lovely staff and a beautiful venue and location. The main feature was definitely the setting and the staff. Both are fab. The room set up with fan on and classical music playing is a nice touch.
The hot water pipes that run under the bathroom create an unintended heated floor, they also heat up the cold water pipe, which is likely not ideal for legionada, I don't believe they have been properly insulated and lagged. The shower door was slightly broken and the head does not adjust well. The windows don't fully open and there was no air con which when combined with the always on hot water heating make the room quite uncomfortable in summer. The bathroom ventilation feels limited and extractor fan could use being more powerful or efficient. It felt like the room was in need of renovation for summer living and that the prior work in the bathroom was done with a limited budget or very limited time available.
It was convenient for the wedding we were attending at the church.
No lift and no parking. No electric sockets at bedside. Uneven flooring. My husband and I are 84 and 83 with balance and walking problems.
The breakfast was excellent

Very clean, comfortable, great location, friendly staff
The central location, the outside dining area, the friendly staff. Food good but more variety would be appreciated. Romsey is a fascinating little town, a wheel chair friendly heritage trail.
Difficult finding parking. Provide the post code for the car park, not just the hotel.
A comfortable and relaxing room, with good decor. The little duck in the bathroom is a quirky touch which makes you smile
Very easy check in. The hotel is in a lovely location. We stayed in the loft room. The room was very spacious and had a well thought out layout. Bathroom was lovely and modern, room and bathroom were both very clean. Room had aircon too which was ideal for the hot weather. We had full English breakfast the next morning which was very tasty. Overall such a great stay would definitely recommend.
Downside was no direct parking however there was a carpark only a short walk away, which wasnt a problem at all. Nothing we didn't like about the hotel.
