We love the White Horse and have stayed there on numerous occasions. This time we had a medical problem and paramedics had to attend. The staff could not have been kinder or more caring. Susana, Noah, Callum and Abi were amazing and supportive. We know we will be visiting again.
Apparently as a result of my visit to the White Horse yesterday 15 May 2026, 2 police officers visited me at my home. This upset my wife. I have asked the police if they need to speak to me in future, they should ask me to come to Romsey police station. This would avoid the upset to my wife.
Le charme de cet endroit du XIV siècle qui transpire le charme anglais de l’époque.
We liked everything
Location
Toller Service, sehr schönes Zimmer und tolles Essen in der Bar.
Und ich konnte mein Fahrrad laden und sicher unterstellen. Danke!
Lovely property with great features and friendly and helpful staff, lovely toiletries and extras in the room to make stay so much easier.
Parking was a big issue as had young child and lots of bags to carry, same issue with getting bags upstairs and pushchair due to no lift but cannot be helped
Clean and very comfortable. Lovely south African lady on reception who was most helpful and pleasant.
All 👍
Very polite staff and very clean hotel.
Hotel was in town centre which was great for shops and other bars,
Lovely room very comfortable
And clean
The stairs were ok but no good if you are in a wheelchair
I have a mobility issue
But managed
Just spent two very comfortable nights in this old coaching inn in the middle of Romsey. the building is old with winding corridors and handsome staircase. It has been very sensitively updated and our bedroom (quiet, superior double) was most comfortable and very well appointed. The bed was comfortable with good linen and the bathroom not large but very clean and had everything we needed. When something minor went wrong with the basin we mentioned it and they instantly said they would call their house handyman to fix it.
Breakfast was extra but beautifully cooked (including perfect poached eggs). All staff were super polite and helpful.
There is no parking on site but a public one about 7 minutes walk away and, amazingly, easy to use payment machines. Romsey has lots to see and do locally.
We would happily come back again.
There was nothing to not like staff were amazing the location was fantastic the local food was lovely the room was cleaned and spotless
Me and my partner fell in love with Romsey the town is cleaned everyone is friendly! As 2 autistic people who struggle with new places and talking to people we didn't feel any pressure or anxiety with people x
