Great hotel but don't tell everybody.
Pros:

The staff were friendly and very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location and facilities were good. No parking but there are plenty of local car parks within a short walk.

Cons:

I didn't like leaving.

Pros:

The room was very comfortable. It was nice to have a seperate seating area.. Breakfast was good and a good variety to choose from. I would definitely stay again for B & B..

Cons:

Personally I think there should be more choice for dinner. Menu was quite limited not anywhere near as much choice as there is for breakfast. I've stayed in their Godalming hotel and same applies there.

Getaway
Pros:

Excellent location, in the heart of the town just 10 minute walk from the station. Historic building . Spotless, beautifully decorated, with really thoughtful touches such as a handwritten welcome note in the room, books and wooden noughts and crosses and a lavender pillow spray. Food beautifully presented. Breakfast delightful, and the best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten. Helpful, happy staff. Quiet. Room lay out within the hotel minimises noise from passing guests within the hotel. Room 111 was tucked away in a corridor with only a couple of rooms. It overlooked the courtyard and we had a very peaceful Friday and Saturday nights sleep. Comfortable beds. Loved the sound of the Abbey bells pealing on Sunday morning.

Cons:

Personal preference only as a female: no handheld shower head, only a fixed overhead. Will remember to pack a shower cap next time.

Very nice indeed, would recommend. But sort out parking options before you arrive.
Pros:

Lovely atmosphere. Very comfortable.

Cons:

The only thing was the stress of arriving in Romsey by car, with its complicated one way system around the tiny centre of the town. I think the hotel should advise drivers of the post code of the nearest car park, explaining that you cannot stop your vehicle outside the hotel, but that the nearest car park is very close by, with a cut through that takes you within yards of the back entrance. With this information I would have had a MUCH better start to my stay!

Really nice hotel. Exceeded our expectations.
Pros:

Nice room, comfy beds. Lovely breakfast and dinner. Staff and service excellent. Receptionist lovely and she went above and beyond.

Cons:

First room very small but we were moved to a larger one. Shame it hasn't got parking on site but the car park isn't far.

Pros:

Very nice decor, warm and comfortable and very helpful staff.

Cons:

Hotels rarely have feather pillows and none have continental size feather pillows like I have at home. Yep, it's a hard life 😞
