I like Crowne Plaza Shanghai @ NNjing Road
Pros:

Good location. Rear entrance opens to Nanjing Pedestrian Walkong Street all the way to the bundle and Peace Hotel. Iconic.

Good 100 year plus Cantonese Restaurant behing the hotel adjoining. Good food.

Cons:

The hot weather in Aug.

Pleasant hotel with very helpful staff
Pros:

I like the location. very close to all the shops and restaurants. Approx 20 minutes walk to the river by the bunde.
Also close to the Metro station, which is crucial for getting around.

Cons:

I think the bathroom facilities need updating. They are adequate, but a little bit dated and a little bit tired looking.
