Like living in a parking garage: Dark and with direct view to parking garage. No daylight.

Where do I start? It felt like living in a dark parking garage. Literally. No day light, bad smell, humid, and did not match any of the pictures on booking.com. Duvet was dirty with blood stains and yellowish patches, and there was no washing machine. Bed was too soft. Fire alarm went off late in the evening. Customer service was clearly directed to not listening to any of our complaints. We sent them a lot of emails and tried to cancel the rest of our remaining days, but they just let the days pass. My best advise to anyone thinking of staying here is: Don’t! You will not get a flat like the ones pictured on booking.com. It’s false advertising all the way.

Fantastic week-long stay in a great apartment.
Pros:

Really well appointed apartment - it has everything I needed, and more! Comfortable bed, great size table, comfy chair etc. There wasn’t anything I needed that wasn’t thought of in the apartment.

Cons:

Nothing about the property was a problem. Tory Street is a fantastic location - so easy to get anywhere in Wellington from there. But the street is lively (and noisy!) at night. Maybe don’t choose this location if you don’t want to feel part of city life!!

Its very noisey. We could hear the people in the next room very clearly. No aircon so the windows have to be open in the warm weather.

Pros:

Fantastic location in the CBD with lots of food and entertainment options nearby.

Cons:

Few disruptive days with ongoing plumbing issues, but wasnt offered the option to relocate rooms. It was inconvenient to have trades people coming and going with little notice.

Cons:

No staffed reception and only overseas/out of town telephone contact. I am sure my iphone charger was left at the hotel, but cleaning staff did not turn it in, which was a dissappointment. The parking garage was a bit run down.

Online checkin I don’t like giving my personal details to third parties.not necessary. Booking should have alluded me to it.
Too many codes hard to remember and keep track off which is embedded in lengthy passage.
We were allocated 603 which was not made despite our late arrival at 6 pm. Hard contacting someone we were travelling only with data plan and no access to NZ phone line. The fancy telephone on 5he wall was a show piece. We had to ask my relative to contact and we wasted more then 2 hrs of my limited life time waiting for room clean or room change. As I was exiting to go for dinner at a relatives place we were givin a room change. I just checked the room code worked and we left for dinner. When we came back the car park grill gate was closed. We parked on street. On using the bathroom using the toilet I could feel drops of water/ sewerage on my head. Looking up there was a pool of water on the plastic false ceiling. It was already 2 am. I wished we had moved to another hotel then staying at Tory. Despite my complaint I heard nothing and no response.Even third world countries like Fiji and countries like Nepal , India and Srilanka have better places cheaper then Tory. Worst experience ever faceless sad place.
