The location - on the main street of downtown Fairhope - is fantastic. Easy to walk to the stores, shops, restaurants and parks.
Outside of the main lobby, the hotel was very warm and humid. I'm not sure if the AC was not working properly, but the elevators, hallways and rooms were pretty uncomfortable. Even with the room AC unit set to the lowest temperature, the room was quite warm overnight. The pillows were very flimsy and the ice machine was out of order. and vending machines (drinks) were out of most items.
Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed
Breakfast not very good. Hashbrowns were not eatable. Pastries were just so so. No hand cream and no extra towels.
Would really consider another hotel. It is in need of updating. It is very out dated and run down. It is dingy and had a greasy food odor that lingered all day from the unhealthy process food served at breakfast. (Just google scrambled eggs used in Hampton inn breakfast) Technology is lacking — poor WiFi and out of date TV’s. Honestly the Hilton Tru hotels are much nicer ( no carpet in the room) much cleaner. Our Fairhope friends told us (after we booked) that it has the reputation of being rundown and dirty.😞 just read that this hotel is privately owned not a corporate owned. I will look at this when booking hotels in the future. Same thing with Hilton Tapestry chain (beware)
Location
The bed was awful and the pillows were little knots.
The location, it has parking lot, excellent breakfast
Everything was good I would have liked a better view, but it was only one night so it was fine
Staff
This hotel is run down but pretty clean. Needs updating
Location is great. Parking is good. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Nice tv once someone pushed the reset button.
Stayed 2 nights and Room was not cleaned. Keys didn't work several times. Desk blamed it on my phone. Asked to have soap dispenser fixed but no one did. Breakfast ok but not as good as in the past. Hotel seems to be worn out. I was told it recently sold so may all this will change.
We stayed in Fairhope to meet up with family members staying in Point Clear. The hotel location is excellent, but it has not been maintained. As Hilton Honors members, we frequent Hilton properties quite often. This one disappoints.
The side doors to access the property were not in working order. My husband uses the handicap parking due to health reasons. The handicap spaces were approximately 40 feet from the door. Not up front, however the EV parking spaces were.
The hotel has a musty smell as we went to our room. The carpet in the room looks like piece squares that are in bad shape. The bathroom vanity shows considerable wear. The thing that surprised us the most is the seating in the front lobby where we ate breakfast. The seats sank when you sat in them. The faux leather has disintegrated.
Upon speaking with the lady at the front desk, the property has been sold and supposedly it will be updated in the next year. It is a shame as Fairhope deserves a better hotel accommodation.
The location was right in the middle of all the shops. I took my mom this vacation so she could shop as much as she wanted. We just walked out to the shopping.
The property was beautiful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic also.
We love Fairhope and the location is great
Needs a little updating in the rooms, paint etc
Everything was good
Great location
Clean but upkeep needed on bathroom walls
location of hotel in the center of small but very pretty city.
pleasant staff
perfect calm streets and authentic peer area
parking places for free around hotel - I parked my car just in front of hotel
tea in the room will be good
more varieties for breakfast - for example something green (leaves, vegetables...)
Located in the middle of downtown Fairhope, access to shopping and dining is a short walk. Overall, the room was clean and the staff were friendly. I'd stay here again. The food served was better than most.
