Very nice place, cool, big rooms

I had a great stay at Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha. The rooms were spacious, clean, and elegantly furnished, with very comfortable beds. The food was delicious, offering a nice mix of local and international dishes. Staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help, making the stay smooth and enjoyable. Overall, a very comfortable and well-maintained hotel, highly recommended for anyone visiting Arusha.

Stayed here for two nights on Safari. Large spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Unique design, wonderful staff, great pool, and pool bar. Breakfast included a good buffet with many selections. If ever back in Arusha, this is where I will stay!!

Lovely well maintained hotel. The staff are exceptional everyone you see greats you. Clean and spacious rooms. Bottled water provided in the rooms with a fridge available too.

Our tour operator booked us into Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha as our pre- and post- safari hotel. We stayed at Kibo Palace the last time we traveled with Leadwood Holidays, so we were thrilled to see it on this itinerary. The hotel is large enough to be comfortable, but still small enough to be cozy and safe. The restaurant is more than adequate, with meal plans available, with full service and seating indoors or outdoors by the pool. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always greeting us with a smile. If you need it, there is an ATM next door, as well as several restaurants within a few blocks walking distance. We’ve stayed in several areas and floors of the hotel, each room has similar layouts, and the same amenities, including full sized beds with plenty of pillows, enough outlets to charge everything, TV and remote, as well as a shower and a tub. The hotel is the perfect place to rest before and after safari, or even spend a day taking in a few local sites. Thank you, and we can’t wait to see you again!!

We stayed here for one nights in September at the start of our safari trip. The hotel is nice and clean all round and the bed was comfy.

The staff are all extremely friendly and happy to help. We arrived late in the evening and the staff still made sure we could order some food which was much appreciated after a long day of travelling.

We didn’t explore the hotel or the surrounding area any further but it was great for what we needed it for which was a good nights sleep after a long day travelling and the perfect starting location for our safari.

Close to the Maasai Market so we could shop and send our merch home. We were within walking distance of the market and old clock tower. Staff was amazing and the food for bury breakfast and dinner was outstanding!

This hotel is elegant, clean, and welcoming. When dropping us off, our driver told my husband and I that we were at the best hotel in Arusha. The dining room is very upscale without the upscale snobbery. There is a nice jewelry store, foreign money exchange desk, and wellness center on site. The outside pool is gorgeous and relaxing.

What I enjoyed the most was watching a peaceful protest march from the hotel window on a Saturday morning, and then later seeing children from the street below waving to me. The location of this hotel is within walking distance from the Natural History Museum which also houses a wonderful Artist Gallery, Not far is the Clock Tower which designates exact distance between Cairo, Egypt and Johannesburg, South Africa.

I love the comfort, hospitality, and culture of this place.

Pre-safari overnight stay upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport. Room was available to use right from early morning. Basic but spacious enough and perfect for one night. Hotel comes with a pool and food and drinks were absolutely okay. Service good too! We saw monkeys playing in the hotel garden and the morning we left, two large hornbills sitting in the tree next to our room, beautiful! Town centre in walking distance. Our guide / driver collected us at the hotel the next morning and by the looks, it seems a popular starting point for many, as lots of jeeps were lined up in the parking lot.

The room was large, spacious and clean. The food for dinner was good and they had excellent service in the dining room. I had a bathtub/shower and the water was cold and the tub did not drain well at all. I was honestly too tired to ask for help or a room change after a 20 hour travel time so I just dealt with it for the one night.

After climbing Kilimanjaro it was the perfect place to regroup before going on safari. Hotel staff was very attentive. Laundry service was excellent and reasonable.

We stayed at Kibo Palace, two nights before our African safari, and one night after returning from Safari. The staff here is absolutely wonderful. They are friendly and welcoming. We did not know how worn out we would be after our “African massage“ with all the bumpy roads and dust. It was wonderful to come back to Kibo Palace and relax. The pool and outdoor area is beautiful. We felt very safe and secure here. I would recommend this hotel to anybody coming to Arusha.

Very nice property in the middle of Arusha. Staff was excellent and the accommodations were top notch.

We stayed at the Kibo Palace hotel before and after our Safari.
The rooms are very comfortable.
2 bottles of water and instant coffee & tea provided daily. The cleaning staff looked after our room very well.

Restaurant food and coffee always good.
We experienced a buffet for breakfast with a lot of variety. Had great conversations with the chef serving the breakfast buffet.
Buffet supper on one occasion and ordered from the menu for lunch and supper as well. You will not go away hungry.

The staff were always pleasant and helpful throughout the hotel.

The pool is a nice feature which we used several times. Although there is only one umbrella for shade with a couple loungers, extra loungers are available for your use. Just ask.

The outside seating area around the pool was great to relax and visit.

The hotel staff can assist in arranging transport for you.

We would return and recommend.

Went with a bunch of friends to swim, have bitings & drinks after our mountain expedition. It is one of the few places in Arusha that allows for non staying guests to swim & use the gym facilities - at a fee of course.
The hotel is one of the older gems in Arusha that has maintained its standards over the years and is always a place I like to return to. The pool and well manicured garden on a hot day is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. The pool was clean & the bitings we had were tasty and well portioned.

Kibo Palace is an excellent place to stay. We had just spent three weeks in Kenya and Tanzania and it was the last place we stayed before heading home. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The lift didn’t go to our floor so it was hard getting our bags back down the stairs when we were leaving, but the staff took them upstairs for us on our arrival.
The room itself was quite big with comfortable beds. Although the single bed I slept in kept bumping into the power point and disconnecting my phone charger - not what you want when you rely on your phone for an alarm in the morning before an international flight.
The food was delicious! A great selection at the buffet with lots of options and clearly labeled. We also enjoyed sitting by the pool in the beautiful gardens, and seeing local wildlife, such as monkeys and birds. Overall a really great place to stay to end our holiday.
