Enjoy our stay
Pros:

Felt safe and it was very clean ... If we went back we would go to pool ... I had to work...so I left without enjoying the pool .

Comfortable for a short 2 day stay

In fact, the bed was much better than I expected, very firm and comfy

Cons:

Maybe I have a wrong expectation of Hyatt being a luxurious hotel when it is not, at least not at this location? Missing a restaurant for a nice breakfast, Starbucks's "breakfast" is not my kind.

Nice area with plenty of things to do
Pros:

Pros: friendly check-in, nice big rooms with rainforest showerhead, comfortable bed, located near plenty of shopping and food trucks (at night)

Cons: you park at a separate parking structure ($16 a day), the cars outside can get pretty loud at night

Stay in Long Beach
Pros:

Nice hotel, great location in The Pike near restaurants, shopping. Only consideration would be the off-site parking, but it is still very close.

Disappointing for Hyatt
Pros:

I always love staying at Hyatt hotels. This hotel was very mediocre ,unlike most of my experiences at Hyatt. The mattress was quite soft, again unlike other Hyatt stays. Desk staff weren't particularly welcoming. The air conditioner was noisy. The curtains did not close over the window completely (due to the set rod to avoid the air conditioning unit) so light shown through all night long.

Great place to stay for a Catalina island day trip!
Pros:

The manager at the front desk was great. He offered to buy us our first 2 drinks that night at the bar because we had patiently waited while he helped a woman who had arrived at the wrong Hyatt. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The area surrounding the hotel was much nicer than I expected. There were many shops and the area was very walkable. Food venders at night along the long beach strip were present. Area lively but not too crowded. We walked to the ferry in 10 minutes to Catalina island. Highly recommend this hotel and long beach area.

Worth trying
Pros:

This is a wonderful hotel with a fun vibe and great people. The hotel is modern, with a fresh look in a fun area. It is clean and the staff are just exceptional-especially Makenna and Chris-who were there for anything we needed. So ready and willing to be of any kind of help. They made it a personal experience that made us want to come back.
Great location-close to Shoreline Village and in the middle of the outlet center. Great place.
