A sad and tired hotel both in decor and service. The walls were scuffed and marked, furnishings felt like they were from the 1990s (only one side of the bed had a bedside light and no USB charging socket) and the staff always seemed too busy doing something else to help. Honestly a professional painter could have improved our room in an hour and a half!
In its favour the rooms were clean (apart from the scuffed walls and furniture) and it is close to some really nice restaurants and bars (hence the 2 stars)
The hotel was lovely the room was nice weirdly shaped. The staff were caring. Would go back again . Very clean. Food was lovely. The only thing was that they never sold alcohol. Because of there region
We came to this hotel after being scammed by Airbnb in the middle of the night in London. From the moment we entered the hotel, the staff were incredibly caring and understanding about what had just happened to us. They booked us a perfect room and paid attention to every detail. The hotel itself is wonderful, with beautiful and clean rooms, amazing staff, and a tasty breakfast. The location was perfect for our visit, as it is close to many tourist attractions and well connected by public transport. We truly felt at home and will definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip to London.
We had an amazing stay at this hotel. After being scammed by an Airbnb, we arrived at the hotel at 2 a.m. without a prior reservation. The receptionist welcomed us so warmly that, after such a stressful and disgusting experience with Airbnb, our mood instantly improved.
The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are lovely, clean, and maintained. The breakfast was absolutely excellent, with great food and quality. Every single member of the hotel staff was kind and helpful.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London. It truly is a wonderful place, with fantastic staff, beautiful rooms, and delicious food. All in all, we are already planning to return to London, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Good location, comfortable room and bathroom. Had problems using the website (as a member) and had to book through Booking.com and missed out on the included breakfast. We were offered £2.00 per person towards breakfast but we would have still been out of pocket over the advertised members rate .
Very nice clean hotel!
We loved our stay. The room and bathroom were very clean and quite modern. The bed was super comfy, wish we could stay for another night!
Location is great and staff are friendly. Rooms are outdated and furniture broken. Bathrooms fosets are broken and there was no hot water for two days. Rooms are not well lit.
Great staff and breakfast and comfy beds. Great location. However it felt like we were breathing in cigarette smoke the whole time. It seemed to originate from the bathroom vent. Complained at checkout and received a very surprised reaction - nobody had ever made that complaint before. And then another guest who was checking out said they had the same problem and had indeed complained the night they arrived. They were in the room directly below us. We received no acknowledgement from management that there was any issue.
For the price, the room was good; clean, spacious enough for two nights. Little storage for hanging clothes could have been an issue for longer stays.
Breakfast was poor, especially the cooked food where it was luke warm at best and turkey bacon just isn't pleasant.
Great location decent rooms and great customer service and nice breakfast and always willing to help with anything.I highly recommend staying at bermondsey square hotel and I will be staying with them again in the near future.
The location is great, breakfast was great, the value was excellent. Room cleanliness was excellent. The noise level was very quiet. The only problem was the room temperature, it was too warm and the window could not be opened for fresh air. It would be nice if you could turn the temperature down or tilt the window. Service was excellent.
Friendly staff, good location. Amazing breakfast. Rooms are spacious and clean. Located close to public transportation.
The stay was excellent! The hotel is very comfortable and clean, with a cozy atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The breakfast is great, varied and of high quality.
In the room, there is always tea, a coffee machine, cookies, and bottled water included, all replenished daily — a detail that makes a real difference.
The location is excellent: the hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood, with a supermarket just across the street, and about 10 minutes from two metro stations, which makes getting around very easy. It’s also only 13 minutes to the famous Tower Bridge and 15 minutes to Borough Market on foot.
Without a doubt, I highly recommend this hotel!
Thanks for all the staffs including front desk, restaurant and management for being very friendly and helpful to solve the problem we run into. E bike/scooter rental lot right across the street. Great location, quiet neighborhood, a 75 year history of antique market is held on every Friday in front of hotel square and indoor that surprised me, I did buy something there. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.
The hotel is very nice, the room is large and comfortable. Position is good and served by many different bus lines, which allow to reach the metro station of Tower Bridge quickly. Bermondsey street is full of good restaurants
My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay. We had our dog with us and he was made to feel welcome.
The location is about 10 minutes walk from London Bridge station which offers access to both underground and overground rail services. The Shard is right next to the station, Borough Market just a few steps on, so lots to see and do within walking distance.
Lots of restaurants and pubs en route, a busy area but felt really safe. There’s a Sainsbury’s Local right opposite the hotel, ideal for any small bits of shopping.
The room itself was spacious, not a lot of cupboard space, but enough for a couple of days. The shower was lovely, but it was only an overhead one, so tricky when I didn’t want to wet my hair. The bed was comfortable, though a small double (I thought it was going to be bigger). The room was very quiet even though it overlooked a road; that was very welcome. As far as the dog was concerned, there was a small bit of green space opposite.
Breakfast was small but perfectly adequate, enough choice for us.
In summary, a good experience overall.
Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had traveling anywhere in the world.
Maids love to slam room doors all afternoons when guests are resting.
Disruptive guests are allowed to ruin vacations without being removed from the premises.
Stay away at all costs if you want a quiet pleasurable place to relax and enjoy..!
A bit of a walk from London Bridge Station, especially with luggage, but great access to trains, the Tube, and buses.Located in a lively area with small stylish pubs and cafés. Friendly staff. Simple, clean, and well-equipped room. The breakfast restaurant was convinient, with a decent variety of food.More affordable than central London, and comfortable for a short stay.
The hotel is at a very central location, lots to do around the hotel vicinity. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Rohit at breakfast is especially very warm and hospitable!
Ideal stay for walkable trips around the Tower Bridge area - both sides of it. Everything conveniently within reach - pubs, restaurants, shopping, open air spaces, and scenic strolls.
