Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and great restaurant.
Pros:

Very classy!! Beautiful big rooms, nice lounges to relax in and a delightful breakfast before we headed off.

Very pleasant, quiet, interesting area.
Pros:

Very spacious and comfortable room. Breakfast was great - plenty of choices. The restaurant was expensive for dinner and had limited options for vegetarians. The pool area was excellent. Garden and water features were very photogenic.

Cons:

Cheaper dinner menu, with more choices for vegetarians. Carrying luggage upstairs.

Lovely hotel in a nice region for biking or visiting wineries.
Pros:

Great room and location. Wonderful dinner with delightful staff. Super comfortable bed.

Cons:

Slippery green pool was very dangerous. All tile covered in algae.
Breakfast was very good but hostess did not share that a buffet was available.

Fabulous hotel with friendly staff and a lovely relaxed vibe.
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, we chose a sunrise room on the rear of the property and where glad we did as the noise from the trucks leaving the nearby winery was something we didn’t hear unlike guests we spoke to on the sunset road side.

Cons:

There was nothing that we disliked.

Wonderful - but not during extreme heat
Pros:

Lancemore Milawa was (generally) wonderful. Peaceful, personable, roomy, clean and the architectural style and decor was perfect. Food was excellent and staff fantastic.

Cons:

The day we arrived the temperature reached 42 degrees and remain in the mid to high twenties overnight. Unfortunately, this was too hot for the air conditioning in our room - the air conditioner was a 6kW unit whereas a room of the size of the room we stayed in would require at least 12kW. We had a very uncomfortable night as a result. The room did not have a ceiling or other fan. [However, the staff were very apologetic and provided a full refund].

Beautiful, serene and stylish hotel close to Brown Brothers
Pros:

Stayed here for a special night away on a VERY hot Sunday (circa 42 deg) so loved the pool! We arrived, parked and then popped over to Brown Brother where we'd booked for lunch - it is pretty much just over the road - which was great. Walked back in the heat and immediately headed to the pool for a cool down.

After we relaxed in the room for a bit, in the lovely A/C, then walked the 300 metres to the local pub for dinner. In the morning, enjoyed a read in the lovely lounge area on level one, then a great breakfast, before heading off. Would come back and stay two nights next time!

It was our 5 year anniversary and despite us booking the most affordable room, we were left a lovely welcome card and bottle of sparkling by the hotel, which was very much appreciated.

Lovely big/comfortable beds too.

Cons:

Just be a little wary of mini bar prices - like most places, they're steep - so we didn't plan to drink anything from there, but did have a few beers for my partner in the hotel fridge to avoid leaving in our hot car, as this was part of a longer trip. Due to some lax packing on my behalf, I accidentally packed 2 of their beers...and a $28 charge on my cc alerted me. Oops & ouch. Totally our fault, more just a cautionary tale :)

Great place to stay on a road trip or short stay
Pros:

Location and rooms were gorgeous

Cons:

Pool area is tired and needs a refresh. Restaurant was closed the night we were there which we weren’t warned about.
