Very disappointed I had paid for the entire stay even before I arrived. The room floor was dirty too
Pros:

Didn’t eat there because of the roach incident the day I checked into the room.

Cons:

Upon arrival it smelled horrible in the hotel. The room was worse it smelled of pesticide. Then there was the big roaches we had to go after and kill. So grossed out we didn’t chance eating snacks in the room much less get breakfast. Had to adjust the budget so we could go out for breakfast. Black mold in the bathroom and I am immunocompromised due to treatment of cancer diagnosis. This trip was to get me away from that for a few days. Saddened that this happened and the smell made your nose get stuffy and get a headache. Very disappointed in Holiday Inn my first and last stay at that place.

Everything was great and I would definitely stay again.
Pros:

The property was well-kept and right across from the beach. It was far enough away from the business of Galveston, which was perfect for my family, but close enough for all the fun!

Cons:

I wish breakfast was switched up a little and that more focus was on little kids going up on their own and touching everything.

Pros:

Right across from the beach. Pool had two hot tubs. Lots of towels. I could see beach from balcony. Seemed safe. No problems with car under. Close to everything though east and is better than west.

Cons:

Crossing road seemed dangerous, though you could walk 300 feet to light. Really not their issue.

Fun with family.
Pros:

Extensive breakfast and the location are the best things about this hotel. I also liked the covered parking in the back of the hotel. Comfortable beds.

Cons:

I don't know if it can be improved upon but the hotel made continuous efforts to remove the musty sea smell in the public areas of the hotel. There was always staff around cleaning. Our room smelled real nice and clean when we arrived but eventually, the musty smell seeped through. I was also disappointed that there was no view of the ocean from our balcony. What little view we may have had was obscured by an additional structure on the hotel blocking the side view.

Overall I had a good stay. The breakfast made up for everything.
Pros:

The breakfast here was phenomenal. It was so good that I would stay here again just for that. The room was clean except for the bathtub. There was hair in the tub and on the wall. Other than that there was definitely a mildew smell throughout the room. I guess thats to be expected being so close to the water. Very friendly staff at front desk.

Hair in the bathtub and strong mildew smell in room.
