A lovely hotel - the food was fantastic, the service was faultless, the room was clean and comfortable. Could not have been a nicer stay!
Very centrally located, helpful courteous staff, very clean room. Convenient restaurant & can make picnic lunches to go. Room just a bit crowded for 4 adults, and sofa bed squeaks when moving on one side, but we would stay there again.

Excellent in every dimension. The location in the heart of the city was ideal, easy to find and with secure parking. The hotel itself was perfectly presented, clean and tidy. The staff could not be more welcoming, friendly and helpful. We are contemplating a return trip.
This was so convenient although you must call ahead for parking and we didn’t. The town is amazing.
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Le Lion d'Or. The location couldn't be better—an easy walk to shops, restaurants, bars, historical sites, and even a grocery store. The hotel itself was quiet, clean, and very comfortable, with a warm atmosphere clearly geared toward an American clientele.
The on-site restaurant was a highlight: elegant setting and truly excellent food. Although there’s no elevator, the staff kindly helped us get our luggage upstairs, which we appreciated. It’s something to keep in mind for those with mobility issues, but it didn’t detract from our experience.
Our only regret? That we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommend this lovely hotel in the heart of Bayeux.
Great location and staff but I’d suggest looking at other options. We were on the third floor and there was no elevator or air conditioning. I would not recommend this hotel.

There are many things that are wonderful about the Hotel Le Lion d'Or, but I must first complement the staff. Everyone we met were so warm and friendly. We visited in January and the fire was always burning which was pleasant. The room was spacious with everything needed.
The restaurant was outstanding and we highly recommend it.
Beautiful hotel and the staff was so kind and helpful. A lot of beautiful photos and memorabilia in that old hotel but they keep it immaculate. I would highly recommend it.
