Great spot
Pros:

Loved the closeness to town and the freeway. Pool and Jacuzzi were great, breakfast in the morning, and a cocktail bar to unwind from the night. Close to downtown and local cute restaurants and breweries.

Nice Stay but Check your Bill before you Leave
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel recently twice, at the beginning and end of a trip through the Southwest. It is always a reliable stop; clean, and with the necessary amenities including a restaurant and bar. I especially like that it is next to the river and adjacent park. I had originally booked a suite online without talking to a human, and realized upon arrival that the suites do not overlook the park, which is something I prefer at this location. The clerk was nice enough to switch me to a standard park view room and reduced the cost of the room to the standard rate instead of the suite rate. I also asked her to do that for the return trip. For the return trip, I was indeed switched to the regular room which had a park view. Upon checkout, I was in a hurry and when the clerk asked if I wanted a printed receipt or emailed, I said emailed. I didn't have a chance to check the bill until I got home, and only then I realized they had still charged me for the suite, even though I had stayed in a regular room. I called as soon as I realized this, and spoke to two different people, but I did not get a credit for the difference between the suite and the regular room. My fault for being in a hurry and not refuting the error at checkout, but a little upsetting as it was a big price differential. I will probably return to this hotel again in the future as it is convenient and probably one of the better hotels in the area. But next time I will check my bill carefully before leaving.

Regarding the restaurant, the food was good but they were trying to get by with minimal staff and one morning they got slammed with customers. After waiting 45 minutes to have our order taken, we gave up and went elsewhere.
