This used to be the best hotel in Lubbock. It's in a great location for games, close to the university, etc. Staff is very nice, the lobby is beautiful. The rooms have gone downhill over the years. The pillows are the size of a throw pillow. The bathrooms need to be renovated and updated. We have found other hotels in the area that provide a cleaner option and better value. I hope someone buys this hotel and restores it back to the way it was ten years ago. I feel confident that $0 has been spent on room updates since the hotel opened.

We arrived for an emergency and this hotel is clean and staff are so caring and compassionate. Mellisa at the bar is the best.

Every single staff member we have had has been incredible. Shout out to Caden, Andrew, and Emma Carter (and more but sadly I do not have their names, the lady at the front desk is also amazing).
My wife and I are here for a convention and I must say we've been very pleased. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff has been exceptionally kind and welcoming.

My first visit to Lubbock has been outstanding! The Overton Hotel shuttle was at the airport upon my arrival. Amy greeted me with a warm smile; she was professional and courteous during check in . The Pecan Grill dinner staff (David and Camden) breakfast staff (Caden, Alison, Ava and Ms Oohm) provided extraordinary customer service! The meals were delicious and picture worthy. Highly recommend the Overton Hotel & Conference Center. My room was comfortable just like home.

This hotel had friendly staff and was in a very convenient location, right across from the Jones stadium at TTU. The rooms and hotel itself was clean, as well as the pool area.
I had lunch at the bar and Melissa took exceptionally good care of me with a hot sandwich and an ice cold beer.
Claire our wonderful service provider at Pecans Bar & Lounge made our evening perfect after a 7 hour drive. She turned on the basketball game we wanted to watch and served us perfect drinks and food with a great attitude and personality!!

I’ve stayed at this location several times over the last couple of months. Every stay has been a great experience. The friendliness of the staffand willingness to help have made a lasting impression. Melissa, the bartender is the epitome of hospitality and customer service. She goes above and beyond to make her guest feel comfortable and welcome.
The Overton is a wonderful hotel with incredibly friendly staff, spacious comfortable rooms and great food and atmosphere in the Pecan Grill. Go see my favorite bartender, Melissa! Perfect location too!
The hotel had a decent rate for a night’s stay. We wanted to get away, eat at PF Chang’s, and have some pool time. Overall the hotel is nice. The pool is heated and relaxing. The front desk clerk was superb and professional. I believe her name is something like Excellena. Not only was she nice to me, but I heard her being the same to others. The location is great, right off a major highway, get away from TTU, and within 10 minutes of fine dining. The reason for the star rating was the room was not clean to the standards I believe Overton has. Upon entering, I could see that the desk was not clean. I overlooked that. But in the bathroom, there was a ring around the tub as if it didn’t drain properly. I overlooked that. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the old urine stains on both sides of the toilet. Because I only stayed overnight, I did not request a different room. Pictures are attached.
The whole experience was great. Our van driver Amy was prompt and professional. Check in was quick which lead to a great stay. Thank you.
