Location is great close to all the shops. Rooms are spacious and covered in dog hair. No housekeeping in the evening. We had to change our own bedding. 1 employee for the whole hotel, which is the front desk person. The manager did not apologize or offer any compensation, except a new room, which didn't solve the problem because we needed hypoallergenic bedding. DO BETTER HILTON! Not worth $300 a night!
We stayed for two nights and had a decent experience overall. The rooms have an odd orientation with beds facing opposite walls towards their own tv. No speakers in the headboards so if the volume is too high the other person hears it easily. No outlets near the beds. Only one portable table for one bed so we had to move a luggage stand to make do. Great location downtown, however.
Room design! Contemporary & interesting
The location of the hotel was in a perfect spot. It was right downtown and located close to many main attractions. The hotel was overall clean and the staff were nice.
For the price, I expected more. The room had wear and tear from previous use and it wasn't as nice as shown in the listing photos. I was a little disappointed for this being the first time staying here.
We stayed here on 6/20/26 in room 208. The hotel is expanding and under construction (which was not on their web site when we booked the room). This has moved the normal entrance and chews up about a third of the parking area. You now enter from 6th St.
It is a block or so walk to the busy area of town (8th St or so) where a lot of shops and restaurants are located.
We were able to check in at 3:28 pm (32 min. earlier than the guaranteed time which the front desk pointed out) which was nice of them to do.
The room was good sized and faced 7th St. I believe, The blackout curtains worked well and there was little road noise after 9 pm. There is a particle board closet and draw set up which was next to a built in couch area across from the bed..
There is also a large couch area to the right of the bed which we used as a large luggage rack (there were none) for our suit cases.
The sink is outside the toilet/shower area and had decent counter space. The lights in the toilet/shower area start very dim but after 10 or 15 min. get brighter. The water pressure was good and the toiletries were very nice.
There is a fridge (on the floor across from the door and a coffee machine on the desk. The desk sits under the TV which can be interesting when the TV and desk are in use at the same time. The desk has 2 outlets which were used for the coffee machine and a desk lamp, it could use a third. There are outlets next to each side of the bed you can use to charge devices. The internet was good.
There is an in house restaurant and bar which also seemed to have some outside seating. Breakfast is served in the bar area. You order from the front desk, pick a table and they give you or bring you your coffee/drinks and then your breakfast is brought over. They bus the tables. We thought the breakfast was good.
Overall, it was a good stay and most of the eclectic touches worked.
Note: there are master switches (well labeled) to the right as you enter the room that you need to turn on for all the rooms switches and outlets too work.
It was very clean; breakfast was good value; the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was very dark - lighting seemed inadequate for dark decor.
The bed was comfortable and the lobby staff was very helpful.
Air conditioner was loud, there was no fan in the bathroom, you couldn't tell which button to push on the toilet for dual flush, while nice, the extra high ceilings seemed like a waste of resources, and for what it's worth, if you are going to advertise your LEED credentials at the thermostat, spell check first.
Walking distance to several Tulip Festival events
The Room and the gentleman working during breakfast and coffee
Close to downtown.
Cost was extremely high
Excellent location- easy walk into downtown Holland, very clean, room nice size, bed was comfortable, food from the lounge/restaurant was great
Nothing!
Location to tulip vest was great
That it was pricey for a weekend stay even if it was tulip fest
Nice location, nice bar, nice people
Way too over-priced! Payed almost $600 for 1 night in a room that was decorated with decor that needed major updating. Broken lights, wallpaper peeling off the walls, an all most emptied toilet paper roll left in the bathroom when we arrived. We also had our parking pass displayed in our windshield and parked our car in the reserved parking lot but still received a paper on the windshield stating “This parking lot is reserved for guests only” Who are we then, if we shelled out $600? Will not stay there again when we visit Holland Michigan!
Happy hour
Sink outside bathroom, in the open
Room- Quiet, comfortable setting, comfortable beds. Jodi at front desk was awesome! - friendly, informative, kind, professional.
I am not impressed with this hotel.
