Pros:

From the second I arrived very friendly staff assisted with check and also provided assistance with a rather unusual item I was carrying. Much appreciated.
The room was perfect and the food at our reunion was exceptional, I really mean that it was perfect.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and staff even assisted with the transport of my large item to my car, couldn’t have asked for more.
The whole experience after 4 hours on the road was exceptional.

Cons:

Nothing!

Not a plush hotel but very functional for a few night’s stay
Pros:

Good breakfast which was fully self service but that was fine for us

Cons:

No warning from the hotel that you did not have to pay for the car parking at the weekend. Quite a few guests paid after missing the small print on the parking signs.

Nice but overpriced! Breakfast was terrible
Pros:

Bed was very comfortable. Great options of channels on the tv was great. Pool was really good and staff were nice.

Cons:

Breakfast was not worth the money. Mushrooms were raw and there wasn’t many options. Stated nowhere that there were vegetarian options and only one option for eggs. (Scrambled)
Room was nice but not clean. There was an excrement left on the toilet. Dust around the edges on the bathroom floor. Cobwebs hanging from the walls and ceiling. There were marks all over the walls and the skirting boards were in a bad state of repair.
The evening food was quite overpriced. We chose to eat at the pub across the road where the food was good and much cheaper.

It's the third time we have stayed there and the location is easy to get to from major roads.
Pros:

Nice room. Pleasant staff. Convenient location. The 'restaurant' is attached a sports bar so can be noisy so not best for a quite social meeting and chat.

Cons:

Sports bar so not best at evening meal because of the noise.

Warm welcome
Pros:

My wife and I had checked in to the village into a family room on 13th February 2026, we unpacked and settled down before the evening started, the room although massive was not warming up, we had both heaters on and the temp did not rise past 16C anyway I went to complain at the lobby when a lady and her son was cleaning some rooms along the corridor, she asked if I was ok and if she could help, I explained to her the problem and she came to the room to investigate, she could not believe how cold it was and radioed reception and told what was happening and told us she had cleaned a similar room next door, she told us to wait while she tried to get the room next door warmed up, she saw we had unpacked and told us not to worry her son and herself will help us move, we checked the room and that too was not warming up, she contacted maintenance who said they will try to get in to fix it, she then decided to take us to another room on the other side of the hotel which was warm, she told us to wait while her son and herself got our baggage and brought it to our room, she then sorted out the key passes for us and updated reception on our changed situation, we thanked her and offered her and her son a tip but they both declined we asked for there names for a special mention and to add to this review it was Sarah and Tom Cox both should be recognised for going beyond there normal duty, thank you both.

Overall a great experience
Pros:

Perfect location
Set near beautiful lakes
Has all the amenities you could possibly need all within walking distance.
The spa is amazing such a cosy vibe after 7pm without screaming kids then finally adults get to enjoy it! Could do with staying open later though.
Ice bath is an amazing touch.
Staff are friendly and helpful
Bed is comfortable
Good value for money i highly recommend and i will be returning.

Cons:

The spa could do with staying open later and the gym should be 24 hours.
The food in the restrant isnt great tbh not that fresh and chips are nasty.
Check out time should be 12 not 11.
The interior lay out is confusing.
