Go to the village hotel Nottingham every year great hotel friendly staff great rooms ,great breakfast, Drink's a bit over priced, parking should be free all the time you are at the hotel not just after one clock on Friday.
Hired the village hotel for our wedding reception via Corrie our events coordinator.
The village team was brill and did everything to help and please us.
The resident DJ Colin made the nite aswel as he was brilliant and had a fab set up. Many of our reception guests confirmed how good Colin was and made it a great party with dancing from start till end.
Thank to Corrie, Colin, and the Village team. Made our nite special.
Thx Lee
I had my 70 th birthday party there, food and service was great. Great place to have a party
Loved the building layout, the entrance was amazing
My room was dirty wasn’t cleaned properly found pubic hairs around my plug in the bath and on the floor the walls in the bathroom was dirty and the bed was uncomfortable with smelly bedding on
Currently a guest, and although the basics provided are ok, its the little things that let it down. Wet (plastic) drinks glasses and tea cups which makes it feel like housekeeping just gave them a quick rinse in the sink instead of putting clean ones in. Keyhole door view is fixed shut by paint. Bedsheet mostly untucked, room menu slightly grubby.
Before arriving I had asked if we could have use of a small mini fridge to store medicines, but was told we could use the staff fridge at reception - not quite what we want to be doing in the night.
I'll add my experience of the gym & pool area later, and quality of sleep as the room is beside entrance doors.
Spotless room nice decor lovely location
One member of staff on bar slightly rude
The foyer and restaurant was really lovely

Room was clean.
Very noisy! Breakfast was cold. Evening meal expensive.
Everything.
Great room, huge, comfortable giant beds, clean, friendly, excellent facilities, pool gym and food all spot on. They even helped and printed out paper work I needed for my onward journey.
Overpriced chips in bar area.
We booked 2 nights at this Hotel for 19th and 20th April 2026.Unfortunately 3 days before my wife fell ill and we couldn't travel so I was hoping to rather that cancel the booking that we had paid nearly £200 for that we could move the reservation to a later date. When I phoned reception I was told that we would not receive a refund and I was very surprised to learn that we could not move the date on the booking in fact we were not given any option to do this which we thought was very petty of Village Hotels so in the end we didn't get a refund or change the date in fact they did not offer us anything.
We have stayed at this Hotel several times and always found it to be superb but we will not be staying there again in the future or any Village Hotel.
Please be warned that if you have to alter a booking near the date of arrival you will not get any help from Village Hotels.
We had to do the same with a Premier Inn hotel which we were due to stay at after this booking and they were only to happy to move the date to later on in the year!!
Great hotel , lots on offer restaurant and Bar , coffee shop and fantastic leisure facilities .
The paint smell on floor 2 was quite strong but will ease in time .
