Hot, filthy room. The heat was stuck on and I resorted to pulling out the plug on the wall that says do not touch. Very complicated to get to, requiring going up floors along their buildings and then down floors with luggage.
Everything about the hotel is nice, bar area , outside, location apart from sewers next door smell in hit weather
DO NOT GO HERE IF IT IS WARM. There is no aircon in the rooms and windows dont open much. It was sweltering to the point we kept having cold showers in the night to cool down. One of the worst and most uncomfortable nights sleep ever. In winter I imagine its great in winter. But this stay was more like torture.
Location and friendly staff. Leisure facilities were excellent. A small fan had been placed in the room. Good staff in the restaurant.
It has no air conditioning. It was like sleeping in a sauna. The fan just pumped hot air around. The extractor fan was broken in the bathroom. We were missing a hand towel, we were given a melted chocolate biscuit on the tea and coffee tray and had to wash the cups.
Windows wouldn’t open to let in air as the locks gaps were too small and a black blind would only lift a few inches due to how it had been fitted. Bed extremely uncomfortable with a lumpy mattress protector.
Really big beds
To hot in the heat weave can do with air conditioning. And window full of spider webs at the room and hallway…
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good self service breakfast. Scrambled egg was rather congealed and could have been more carefully prepared. Dinner was good, though not exceptional. Other facilities, pool and gym not used by us, but very well used by many. Hotel was near a large public space, including walks and lakes; which were so enjoyable. Regular buses to city centre were very good.
Room needed air conditioning. Opening windows was not sufficient. Hotel was on the edge of a business park and on a busy road.

Overpriced and no air conditioning
Rooms are boiling!!! No air conditioning in any room, and windows only open a fraction..... we are currently staying here in a heat wave for 1 night, however, I think we will be going home, just can't sleep....... there is air conditioning in all communal rooms, why on earth it's not in the rooms when I so desperately needs it.... don't stay here in the heat...
No air con. Terrible experience with a small fan to keep cool. Fire alarm went off at 2:30am and everyone evacuated the building. No information given from the staff - just “go back in” after one hour outside. Poor
Good location and stuff going on in bar etc
Lots of choice on the food menu at the bar room was clean and tidy.
Our room was above the function room so the music was very loud till gone midnight.
It was clean, the decor wasn’t to my taste but that’s a personal preference but the hotel was clean and good

The bar was great and having an onsite Starbucks is even better. We stayed for Download festival and having things like the Mountain Warehouse and Matalan near by were very useful.
Dirty bedsheets left in corridors for the whole day. Lower priced rooms near the back are subject to the loud music from the gym early in the morning and late in the evening.
