Our room and bathroom were huge with comfortable seating near a window. The room also had a fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The included buffet breakfast offered variety and was generous in choice. It was centrally located in the town centre but was not affected by any traffic or pedestrian noise.

Cons:

It could be a little noisy at times as the hotel caters for large bus groups but this dis not impact us too much. It would be more eco friendly if sustainable pump bottles were used in the bathroom for soap, shampoo etc than all the smaller packaged options.

Pros:

Room was clean and warm. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was great. Restaurant was wonderful, breakfast and dinner were superb. So central to everything

We love the location. The room and bathroom were really clean.

Cons:

Didnt realize that the room had no airconditioning but didnt mind it in the end. Room was really old but super clean - not a speck of dust anywhere. The bed didn't have support and - pillows were thin. We did't mind that the room didn't have airconditioning as there was a portable fan but my hips hurt from the bed dipping and neck hurt from the pillows - badly needs replacing. Next time I'll make sure to book the newly refurbished rooms instead.

It is a bit old fashioned- no aircon in room, very noisy with window open but that was the only way to get airflow

Dingy 1980s hotel in need of modernisation

Very clean, good breakfast, great British barman.

Cons:

1970s decor, poor, overpriced food. Falsely labelling cheap fish as monkfish. Beds not made well. Bar shuts at 9pm. It may have been 4 star in 1980 but lower 3 star now. Dingy bedroom with basic bathroom. Aircon was a fan.

Pros:

The parking for guests was great. The fact that the breakfast room opened at 6 am meant that we could have breakfast before going on our tour for the day.

Cons:

The room wasn't clean. Both the bathroom and the living room needed cleaning, which was done when we went to reception and told them. But when we moved the lounge chairs, we discovered other items under them, which required another trip to reception and further cleaning.

Staff very nice and location close to lake

Cons:

Pretty outdated facility - room temperature not adjustable and got pretty hot and we were asked to use a fan
