This was perfect for a one night stay. Good facilities and an excellent breakfast.
Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Quiet. Central. Modern.
Great location, close to shops and restaurants, very big room, very good breakfast.
Hair trapped in the bathroom shower drain has not been cleaned.
Good quality accommodation
Nothing
Nicely appointed rooms. Reception area and corridors a bit dated.
As above.
No toilet brush - an absolut no go. Breakfast menu was not very good. Especially coffee option (only filtered coffe, medium quality at best) was not acceptable in 2026.
L'organisation de l'hotel, la gentillesse de l'accueil, la taille de la chambre
Les clients chinois, vulgaires et trop nombreux
We stayed here one night on the way to Milford Sound. The location was great, room was very clean.
My low rating is only related to breakfast time and how the personal at the restaurant handled the situation.
Firstly, the lady at the restaurant was not able to find our room in her files. It looked like she has rooms from different tour groups, but not from single people like us.
Once she finally found out, she informed us that the restaurant is full (it was 7:45) and we shall go to the restaurant on the first floor and get breakfast there, and just pointed towards the stairs. I told her that we only have 15 minutes for breakfast. Does the restaurant downstairs have any food. She said “yes, they do”. When we came down, the place on the first floor was literally dead, there was no buffet at all and employees in the kitchen were surprised that we were sent to them. They told us that it will take them linger than 10 minutes to prepare breakfast. At the end, we left the restaurant and stayed without breakfast because at 8 am we had to leave the hotel.
Still don’t understand how one can ignore the customer message about their limited time for breakfast and just send downstairs where there was no food at all.
Very convenient location, great breakfast buffet, very comfortable bed.
超出预期,一家20多年的酒店是怎么做到没有一点异味,真的不可思议!
Very helpful staff close to everything in town
Location
Below average breakfast compared to other lodging this trip, reception staff efficient but impersonal
his was the first of three stays at Distinction properties and the staff here certainly set a high bar for our subsequent stays. The hotel itself is an older property, very clean and in a great location.
Room: 355 Deluxe Super King. Nice view looking towards Main Street and beyond. Newly refurbished room with Air conditioning. We joined and reserved with the "D-club" rate and were able to secure a much better rate than other online booking engines. Clean, nice amenities (shampoo/conditioner/bath gel/soap, coffee/tea/hot chocolate), comfortable king bed, couch, table and chair, tv.
Breakfast: Large buffet breakfast with lots of choices. Was sometimes busy with large tour groups. However, the staff is super organized for seating and replenishes the food often.
Lots of free parking, super quiet and right in the middle of Te Anau.
Bottom Line: Would definitely stay again.
Recently had a night here. Good nights sleep. Struggled with the temperature in the shower. Breakfast was good, very busy. Enjoyed the poached eggs. Nice selection of cheeses too. Close to the lake and several restaurants and supermarket nearby.
Good location, bedroom very clean and good linens
It should be possible to entend the breakfast time to at least 9.30am.
The recommandation for a restaurant ... they if course propose as the best ... their restaurant next door but différent name Bailey's.
We have ordered the 2 expansive croire : venaison and beef. The venaison was correct but the beef was tough and I have to scrap 1/3 of the meat... the présentation and thd sides were very ordinary. We went next date to the "fat duck ," that was far much better.
