Perfect location , quick walk to Birmingham International and also to the NEC

Cons:

Breakfast wasnt great, the sausages were extremely bland and barely edible the fried eggs were swimming in a weird tasting oil. Wouldn't eat there again.

Nice hotel in an excellent location for the NEC and airport.
Pros:

Location of hotel is close to the NEC which was perfect for our need, noticed the airport was nearby, rock was tidy and clean, toiletries were provided for the shower but bring your own other personal care items you need also, didn’t have to pay the £15 parking charge due to a family member being a blue badge holder, staff were friendly, hotel doesn’t mind if you want a just eat delivered to the premises, but you have to eat it in your room.

Cons:

Pillows for the bed are too soft, mattress was too hard, reception didn’t pick up the phone when called as they were too busy when I went down to the desk, one staff member on check in desk upon arrival when they could have had two staff members to make check in quicker.

Some technical issues due to change of chain, overall good stay near NEC
Pros:

Rooms
Rooms were nice & clean. A few issues with the TV with lack of channels (only 12 or so available), couldn't connect personal devices to the TV as the wifi wasn't ready after hotel changed chains.

Nearby activities
Birmingham NEC and airport short walk away, pretty much everything else is a drive or train journey away.

Walkability
Limited grocery shops in the area. Short walk from Birmingham International Airport train station.

Food and drinks
Breakfast was okay, bacon left in lidded serving tray often swimming in oil making it unappealing. Dinner menu looked good, didn't try any as I was travelling with a fussy eater. Drinks from the bar were nice and decently priced.

Noteworthy details
Some teething problems which can be attributed to chain change caused some issues with our stay.

Atmosphere
Calm, quiet and laid back atmosphere, nice styling throughout the hotel

Service
Staff friendly and welcoming throughout the stay, despite aforementioned problems with their systems. All issues were handled politely and professionally.
