Initial room smelled like cat pee
Room smelled a little like fried food but otherwise just fine.
Quiet. Close to the interstate.
The location is prefect to those visiting family stationed at Fort Drum. Comfortable and functional if staying for a few days
The only thing I had an issue with was the door making a terrible noise when opening
Very nice and comfortable
A lot of snow around the property
I have stayed in that same place twice now. The room was perfect. I like being able to cook for myself if I want to. I also appreciate the laundry room. I can find no fault
Everything was great
My husband and I went to visit my son who is stationed at Ft. Drum. The location relative to the Army base is good.
I typically don't write reviews unless my experience was exceptional - either positive or negative. In this case, my experience was beyond negative, unfortunately. I've stayed here before while visiting my son, who is stationed at Ft. Drum. While I've had negative experiences before, I got over it...things happen. BUT, this time.... I can't stay silent. We arrived at 4:10 on Friday, 8/8/25. Check-in is 3:00. Upon attempting to check in, we were told our room wasn't ready and we had dinner reservations for 5:00! I get it. Things happen sometimes, but the staff was SO RUDE and dismissive. They did NOTHING to help us, but rather COMPLAIN and make excuses for why they didn't have our room ready. It's not my job to make sure you have enough staff available to clean rooms - it's yours! THEN, they put us in a downgraded room (one small double bed) when we had pre-paid for 2 double beds/King bed. When we went back to the desk to tell them this was unacceptable, they made more excuses and blamed Booking.com for the error - (it wasn't). After standing our ground and now with only 15 minutes left to clean up and get ready to leave for our dinner reservation (after a 6 hour drive), the 'manager', Sandra McDougall finally gave us the room we pre-booked and paid for. Upon handing us our keys, she said "Here you go... Room 318." My husband and I made it to the 3rd floor to realize there is NO ROOM 318 (see picture attached). The 'so-called MANAGER,' Sandra McDougall played a game to make us scramble because she was irritated that we stood up for our rights...UNACCEPTABLE! There were tons of other issues with the room being dirty (flies and mold), but we didn't care anymore at this point. We just needed to move on with our night/weekend. Bottom line...hotel is barely ok (I guess) but the 'management' needs to be FIRED. ***See pic attached showing NO ROOM 318 where the MANAGER sent us....
We've stayed there before which is why we stayed there again. Clean, convient and courteous
There was nothing not to like.
I get that the hotel was pet friendly, but there was dog food on the floor of our room. It also smelled like a wet dog when the air wasn’t on.
Also there was construction going on and we didn’t know until we arrived. It was pretty loud in the AM a couple of days. The staff was friendly and the suite was spacious.
Everything was great and wonderful
All the comforts of home.
easy traveling to are destination
It was an okay place to stay for 2 nights. The bed wasn’t super comfortable which made for lack of sleep. The room itself had just been “cleaned” upon our arrival. As soon as we walked into our room it reeked of ramen noodles, assuming it was from the last guest. They could have at least sprayed something to make it smell better. That smell lasted the entire time we were there and was nauseating. For the price we paid per night just would’ve thought the room would be a bit better.
