Great overnight stay.
Pros:

Excellent location for an overnight stop. Good price. Room had been refurbished.

A great place for a short stay
Pros:

The room overall. Clean and fairly well appointed. Liked the sockets next to the bed. Lovely staff. Comfy bed.

Cons:

The air conditioning was not very good when set to low even though it wasn’t the hottest days of the week

Great staff makes stay perfect
Pros:

The staff throughout are amazing! Couldn't do enough for us even during a busy time when the football was on in the bar area. Yes the hotel is going through a renovation but inside you couldn't tell, the rooms are clean tidy and freshly decorated.

Cons:

One nit pick, no bedside table on both sides of the beds in family room.

No forewarning of building work
Pros:

Prime location for me to attend a wedding.

Cons:

Building works being undertaken, unable to relax in the room due to extremely loud banging and drilling. It ruined our stay. We were also unable to utilise the outdoor seating area due to scaffolding and building work.

Pros:

We had a great stay at this efficent and spotless hotel. We used the pool, which is a great facility - very clean, warm and well set up. We also had a delicious dinner and breakfast. Very good shower and bedroom set up. The hotel is having some works but this did not affect us in the slightest. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the place had a good vibe. We'd certainly stay here again if we were traveling north as it was very conveniently located and the pool stays open quite late, so we were still able to get in, having driven from London that afternoon.

Booked a double bed and it was just 2 singles pushed together, air conditioning wasn't great , and to be charged £5 to park is daylight robbery
