Hilton Sibiu

Average room on the small side. Average bathroom on the small side. Mediocre breakfast. Too far outside the historic center of Sibiu. Expensive at prices like New York City. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend it to others? No.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was amazing. I loved the property and yes it’s not close to the old town but I didn’t mind it (10 minute car ride). Loved the pool and restaurant.

Great hotel, art deco side, in a green park south of Sibiu. The rooms are spacious with balcony and clean rooms and spacious bathrooms, The location is great if you want to visit the zoo or the Astra museum. Free parking for guests, the highlight of the hotel is the spa with one jacuzzi and two saunas. A pity the steam room did not work in August. I also tried the massage and this is great value for money with therapists from Bali. I can only highly recommend this hotel and would go there again.

A small gap to get my "excelent" evaluation

They put the air condition at 77F and they said it for them it’s good we couldn’t sleep because it’s so hot. There was no toilet paper no complimentary water. My mother got allergy from the fish she ate at the restaurant. We had to take her to the hospital. The restaurant was horrible we waited 1.5 hours for food and my mom as I said got an allergic reaction
The bath tub is very high almost impossible to get in no shower

I stayed at Hilton Sibiu in July 2025 and had a terrible experience. Loud music was playing until past 1:30 AM, and despite several calls to the reception, nothing was done. I had a severe headache and couldn’t sleep all night. This is unacceptable for a hotel under the Hilton brand. No apology, no compensation, no solution. Avoid if you want peace and rest.

I was extremely disappointed with the spa at Hilton Sibiu. The entire area has a strong damp smell, and the towels provided were nothing more than torn pieces of old fabric. The bathrobes were ripped and in very poor condition.

The spa officially closes at 8:45 PM, but instead of kindly asking guests to leave, staff simply turn off the lights while people are still inside — which is both rude and unsafe.

Additionally, I noticed that the shampoo and shower gel bottles in the pool changing room are clearly refilled — they are not original Hilton products. Even worse, staff don’t seem to care which bottle contains shampoo and which one contains shower gel. The result is a very disappointing and unhygienic experience, far below the Hilton standard.

The Club Lounge at Hilton Sibiu was very disappointing during my stay. For three days in a row, the food offered was the same: cold pasta with a small amount of red sauce — and it was literally cold, not even warm. There were also fried potatoes and something deep-fried that looked like pork (I didn’t try it, so I can’t confirm). There was no variety or effort in the food selection or quality.

To make things worse, the coffee machine was often not working — usually out of water and needing cleaning. No staff member was present most of the time to fix the issue. Guests had to wait or simply go without coffee.

Tables were frequently left dirty after previous guests, and no one seemed to take care of the space properly. Altogether, the lounge did not meet the standards expected from a Hilton Club Lounge experience.

The WiFi was non existent and the cellular service was very weak at that location. Almost disconnected from the outside world

I enjoy that this hotel is a little bit removed from the center of Sibiu as it is quiet. There is plenty of parking out front. The room was very spacious and clean (it even had a bidet). We had the breakfast area to ourselves in the morning and there was quite the selection.

This review is for the spa only, we didn't stay at the hotel but rather bought a day pass to use the spa. Online the hours are posted as 2 - 9 PM, over the phone 10 - 9 PM.

Over the phone we were told we could book services after 1:30 PM. When we got there I was given a menu of services to choose from. I started looking at facials and the lady said there are no facials available. I started looking at massages and she said only one type is available (head, shoulders). Why didn't they say anything on the phone about not being able to provide service? Why even hand me the menu?

Two rooms were out of service (infrared and steam room). The women's bathroom didn't have any toilet paper. We were told there were no more towels (they are in the laundry) and that in 10 minutes they will bring us some. They brought a robe as a towel substitute? Ummm OK.

There is a sign on the changing room door that says "let us know if you are in need of personal items" so I asked for lotion. No lotion was available.

At no point did the lady smile or apologize for lacking any of the items. I was understanding at first but as the afternoon went on, I felt frustrated with the cost of the day while not providing the promised service. Life happens but also they should have charged us half off. That was a ridiculous amount of money for what this spa had to offer.

We wanted to be within easy walking distance of the old town and chose the Continental hotel. I would describe it as adequate. I booked a superior room because we had a lot of luggage, the lier of a receptionist gave us a standard room. After some heated arguments, we were moved the second night into a mini suit. The breakfast was buffet style, very good selection. The old town is very well preserved, make it a point to visit the Brukenthal museum.

This is my second stay at the hotel and I was somewhat disappointed. The hotel room looks a bit tired and I’m need of freshening up. The pool and spa also. Our room was cleaned and we had to ask for clean towel and toiletries. Staff were friendly and courteous however the hotel itself needs a little refresh.

From the moment I arrived at the Hilton Hotel in Sibiu, I knew I was in for something special. I was delighted to receive a wonderful room upgrade that truly exceeded my expectations — beautifully furnished, spacious, and offering a breathtaking view of the nearby zoo and the lush greenery beyond.

The hotel itself is warm and elegantly designed, radiating both comfort and class. The Spa facilities are absolutely unique — from the serene atmosphere to the variety of treatments, everything was top-tier. The pool was a dream: clean, spacious, and perfect for both relaxation and a refreshing swim.

One of the absolute highlights was the staff. They are not just excellent — they are true diamonds. Warm, attentive, and always ready to go the extra mile, they made me feel genuinely welcome and valued throughout my stay.

The Executive Lounge was well-appointed and calm, offering a great space to relax or work. The breakfast was nothing short of excellent, with a rich selection of fresh, high-quality options that catered to every taste. Additionally, the airport transfer service was smooth, reliable, and very professional.

This hotel is a true gem. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Sibiu. A fantastic experience from start to finish — pure bliss.

Good place to stay during our road trip from Bucharest to Belgrade. Good free parking. Although hotel is not in city center, well equipped rooms and facilities including pool. Breakfast was good and ample choice. Executive lounge was simple and could be modernised a bit. Good size rooms and wonderful bathrooms. Would recommend!

The building is outdated, tired and due for renovation. There is no electrical outlet in the bathroom and the tub leaked so badly it flooded the floor. The onsite Romanian restaurant was very good, however. Otherwise I would have had to rate the hotel as poor.

The hotel is old and rusty, it has 5 stars but in reality it looks like a 3 stars, the rooms and spa need some updates and renovations, the price is very high compared with what it offers.

Excellent staff, wonderful hotel ,spacious. The breakfast was terrific. The room, so comfortable and there were light switches instead of a computer generated series of touch pads! We require extra pillows and that was swiftly supplied.

Good hotel next to a wonderful park and a good restaurant.

This is the third time when I stay at Hilton Sibiu and my only choice of accommodation when I visit this city.
The location is very convenient, near the zoo and Astra village museum, in a quite area, surrounded by forest and greenery.
The city center is quite accessible, just a 10 minuted ride by car. We preferred to leave our car in the parking lot at the hotel and use the convenient public transportation - bus # 13, which has the bus stop right near the hotel. Uber & Bolt are also a good, affordable solution for anyone.
The rooms are very spacious, with large and comfortable beds. We appreciated the balcony and the bidet in the bathroom, this kind of features are not very common in hotels.
The breakfast was just outstanding, with a very large selection that will satisfy every taste. My recommendation is not to miss the local goodies, with traditional Romanian food. This might open your curiosity to try other traditional dishes at "Camara Boierului" restaurant, which I recommend not only for the food, but also for the decoration. Prosecco at breakfast is a nice touch, I like to end the meal with a mimosa cocktail.
I just want to add that staying at the Hilton will grant you the access to a variety of services such as: Executive Lounge, massage services, pool, sauna, etc
