You could walk to everything. Central location
Service vehicles early morning quite noisy for light sleeper
Great location and facilities with excellent staff
it was close to everything
that fact you couldn’t heat up a meal because if it made the room smell you had to pay an additional $200 for a sanitising clean which is ridiculous considering the cost of food in port douglas, you also had to take your own rubbish out etc which was a little strange considering the price you pay to stay there!
Connie & Frank were excellent - Very accommodating, friendly and good with communication especially as we arrived late. The Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and good views. The location is excellent especially for reef tours etc. The hotel also has its own programme of tours. It also had free parking. Very pleased with our stay.
The apartment was spacious and clean, close to the shopping and dining areas. We loved swimming in the pool.
The place was lovely and quiet - the fact that its adults only had was sublime!
It could’ve been a bit cleaner -attention to detail!
The peace and quiet
Nothing
Conveniently located in the centre of town.
Nothing.
Great location with friendly staff, very clean & would definitely stay there again
It was all good
Large room. Helpful staff at front desk. Great area- nestled in lots of lovely shops and food places. Pool area was relaxing and nice to look at.
Nothing
This property is central to everything and the staff are polite. The car park is convenient.
On check in we were asked for a credit card and presented with a list of rules and extra costs.. fines if you lose the key, fines if you break a glass, fines if you cook something that leaves a smell, charges for any extra toilet role, towels you might want. Instructions to clean the property and put all rubbish out in external bins before we leave.
On entering the property it was instantly obvious that this room had never been cleaned “see pictures attached” thick of dirt and dust on every surface. Blood marks on the sheets, chewing gum ground into the bathroom floor. There were 2 towels, one each, we were staying for 3 nights. The cups had something greasy in them so when we made tea there was grease on the top.
The pool was dirty and workman drilling right next to it. You couldn’t have sat around it or got in it.
I loved the location, me and my girlfriend now fiancé stayed there 2 weeks. The location is perfect, though it was a little difficult to have a wheelchair go through Port Douglas, the apartment is most ideal for me and my fiancé to consider a place of similar size for living in. Considering it’s the ONLY adult hotel that has wheelchair accommodations and the staff were more than a 5/5, I have to say this is the best and most touching vacation I’ve ever been on.
One key point is they’re between both beaches, everything is a small walk though many walk slower than me. But me and my fiancé went to both beaches and the hotel indeed had no kids so it was nice not having to hear screaming children 💘💘💘
PS the shower is very nice :)
The bed. And I know this can be excused with good wifi … the wifi speed is below 1 mbps. I had no data and so did my fiancé. So even if we had a bad sleep we’d go on wifi and play games and watch shows … best we could 😅.
The bed/mattress was harder than the rocks lizards sleep on or what cavemen had or what 16th century peasants have. I kept joking were lizard people now. … but if anyone reads this:
PLEASE BUY A FLUFFY COMFORTER OR BUDGET SO YOU CAN!!! YOUR BACK, STAMINA AND ENERGY WILL THANK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My fiancé has HORRIBLE back issues so the bed was practically life draining. I ran on redbull while she ran on coffee to have the energy to leave the room and enjoy the beaches … what little we could. And now I know what you’re thinking, “a bad bed? How bad could it be and maybe I like beds so hard I feel like a reptile” well guess what? Construction! That’s what! If you are a labourer like me that’s used to a quiet place to sleep in then man you’ll feel at home. For about 6 days at least 5, when we tried our hardest to get good sleep, construction!!! All morning! God forbid they do it in the evening 😅.
Now I know what else you’re thinking, “oh no sleep? At least you had wifi!” Yeah at 1 mbps (megabit per second) we couldn’t watch any movies, could just barely watch a show on the last few nights given more pauses than commercials could interrupt. At 1 mbps, they might as well not have wifi …. But what little … little … microscopic wifi they had to make you feel like you’re on mars trying to connect to earthly wifi and data, it was very nice to have something than just … hand holding because we couldn’t cuddle much on the bed due to it being like a rock.
Location, location, location and friendly helpful staff and the accommodation has had a recent fresh paint job.
The rooms are well appointed with all the cooking and eating utensils provided for in house catering.
Park up your car and walk everywhere.. shops, restaurants, beaches, headland walk, marina etc etc..
Everything was perfect...
The room was a great size and was so central. The spa bath was a great bonus but the best part was the balcony overlooking the main street. Great hosts. 😊
