I liked it enough to book an extra night or two. So this is my second review of oaradiso. I liked that the man who showed me my room really took the time to explain things. I liked tbe feel of the place. I did get it for a good price, which always helps. It waant noisy, it had a real bali feel to it. Shower and bathroom were fine. The t.v though the picture was a touch off, i still liked as it had movie channels and about another 20. Alot of hotels these days you need your own netflix account or whatever account. You didnt here, and i really did like that. The pool area was great and the room had a safe. Not all do.
I cant talk about restaurant as i did not eat there thougb i moticed many of tbe clientele were. It was also in a part of semiyak that was central, near the beach with a 24hr covenience store across the road and many shops, restaurants and stalls within a short walk.
It was my type of hotel.
I would like to say, i did get at good price. But if i was coming for just a standard two week holiday especially with kids, and i didnt want to break the bank, id have no hesitation in staying here. Ill
Ill be honest, nothing stands out. I suspose like i said , the picture on tv could have been a little better, but i even liked the t.v.
The 24hr movie channels plus many others were a tbrowback to past bali holidays.
If your aftet the best of modern tech, you may be a little disapointed. But there is a solution

Location close to beach & retail area. Room was dark.
Shower did not drain. Bed was hard. Bathroom felt unhygienic.

The fact that i am even writing this review which i never do, tells me that i really did enjoy my stay there
I also like the feek of the place. Im guessing it was built in tbe 90's, but it oozed bali.

The bathroom smelled musty at first but the exhaust fan and some room spray fixed that. There was a smell of sewerage every time you flushed the toilet.
The pool is great, the gardens are lovely. The shower is hot and the water pressure is powerful. Beds and pillows are comfortable enough. There was a wardrobe with a couple of clothes hangers but nowhere else to put your clothes, we had to leave them on the floor in our bags/cases. The room is large but there are no chairs inside. There are chairs and table outside the room however.
It's an older style budget hotel but it needs maintenance. The location is very good, there are restaurants close by and a big supermarket just a couple of minutes walk.
The air conditioning is good and quiet
When we arrived, the night receptionist was friendly and helpful.
Our room was dark because there was a large verandah overhang and a multi story building only a few feet from our door which blocked the light. Even during the day we had to turn the lights on because the room was so dark. We asked the uninterested day receptionist if we could pay for an upgrade and she showed us a room up stairs with a dangerously loose hand rail. The room was bigger but you had to open a wooden door to the balcony and the room only had a small high window, so it was even darker inside than the one we had.
We had booked for ten days but only stayed for three days because the dark room was horrible so we changed hotels.

Did not stay long enough for breakfast as we where gone by 6 am the next day
Could have been a lot cleaner .even though we had a standard room it was crap with wife coughing and me scratching all night no hot water and with vent on in bathroom flaky paint was falling in shower
Prima locatie. Vlak bij het strand en voor het genieten van andere dagelijkse gezelligheden is alles op loopafstand te bereiken. Erg fijn personeel !!
