Residence Inn by Marriott New Orleans Covington/North Shore

Great shower! After four hotels in this trip, we became connoisseurs! Free coffee in the lobby, an ice machine and a small grocery helped make our stay great! There were more amenities for longer stays but we were only overnight guests.

We booked two rooms for two nights. We had car trouble and a lot of construction that delayed our arrival. We called ahead to let the front desk know and they said no problem. We arrived at 6:23am and were told the computer system canceled our rooms at 6:00am and that we would still be charged the full amount, and they could not book another room for us. After driving and being up all night, we were faced with no where to sleep in a town where all rooms are booked due to college football. We called around and found another hotel who was happy to not only book us a room, but would waive the early check in fee and we were in our new room and sleeping within the hour. The new hotel overheard us talking about needing to wrap gifts for a baby shower we were attending and they offered to wrap our gifts for us while we slept. They also learned it was our anniversary and had champagne in our room that night when we can back. The juxtaposition of the two customer services was amazing!

Tops notch for being clean. This place is better than holiday inn IHG in the following way. Cleaner if you can believe that since IHG is clean too. A working outdoor pool. IHG was out of service. Larger room with a full refrigerator and full freezer. IHG had a very small frig and freezer was tiny. They had more carts for luggage. IHG had only 3 for the whole building. We had to wait till one was available. Both had very quite location away from highway. Lastly they had a really good free breakfast. IHG you had to pay an extra $20

Generally upheld the Residence Inn standards. The staff was great and a good location.

The only annoyance was the noise level of the HVAC unit. To be fair, they were in the process of servicing all of the units at the location.

I like the location.
I do not like that your hotel is advertised as pet friendly, but when you go to check in...they tack on a pet fee.

This property was amazing! It was a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. I had left a previous hotel I booked because the previous place was horrible and not at all like the photos showed. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful when I showed up at 2:00 in the morning hoping to get a room. The breakfast provided was decent, but the hotel was very clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Would recommend a stay here!

Very nice facility with big rooms. Check I and out process was easy and fast. Breakfast had good variety. The only thing that bothered us was that there was a large party (wedding?) that completely took over the outside patio/pool and sitting area inside. We were forced to stay in our room or leave the property in order to spend time with our family.

This was a trip with my Mom, we both felt very safe and comfortable. The room was quiet and we didn’t have any issues from hallway noise or room noise from other guests close to us. I would only suggest some fresh fruit options besides bananas and apples for the breakfast buffet.

The hotel is in a quiet area just off a main road. Our room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

Hotel staff was very accommodating. Even made it possible for a friend to have a connecting room for one night. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. The only complaint we have is that the HVAC system was so loud when it came on that it sounded like a Harley motorcycle was reviving up beside our bed. We were so exhausted from our day at the Ponchatoula strawberry festival, that we eventually just fell asleep and I guess, got used to the noise. Otherwise, it was nice and clean, the lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful, and breakfast was good. I would stay here again if needed. Lovely private area off of the main road too.

The hotel was great. The only “complaint” is that we asked for housekeeping service but never got it.

Great customer service, property was clean, quiet area.

It was great but guests above us, you could hear EVERYTHING! Barking dog, kids, grumpy stomps, like there was no sound barrier.
