Pros:

First of all, their guest rooms were clean and tidy, and fully equipped with amenities. Secondly, the front desk staff were very nice—they even recommended some excellent restaurants to us. It was a truly wonderful stay.

Everything was great. The room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. The staff's directions were accurate. As a bonus, there was a nice view of the Charles River from the windows.

To welcome us, the owner explained that there would be nobody there when we come and go, no breakfast, no housekeeping and provided us with a thoroughly meaningless 1.5 speed rundown off all of the different cuisines on Moody St. There is no ambiance indoors or out, carpet is old and needs replacement. The mattress was old and uncomfortable, Other than hearing the person next door peeing, it was quiet. It was a relatively quick walk to Brandeis. In hindsight we should have just taken the commuter train from Boston for our morning college tour. The time we saved by staying overnight in Waltham wasn’t worth it. It was large and cheap though. How it earned 9+ ratings is beyond me.

Mostly very good.
Pros:

Large room with good bathroom (shower over bath), good kitchen facilities (large fridge, stove, oven, microwave), good hanging space, small dining table, comfortable bed, large desk. Internet good. Separate coin-operated laundry facilities.

Cons:

TV was cable only (with wrong format), and no HDMI or wireless screen sharing facility. It did have a DVD player incorporated, which says a bit about the TV’s age.

The room’s air conditioner worked, but was very noisy.

A quiet and welcoming retreat from the hustle and bustle, yet so close to places of interest. Truly exceptional!
Pros:

Very quiet, yet so close to places to eat and things to do. The walking trail behind the property takes you right along the Charles River. No extra fee for well- behaved dogs, which is great. Facility is in fine shape and the staff very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
