Sunset Beach Resort

The staff at the hotel were great, and it was a short walk into town or a 180-200 baht tuktuk. Directly across the road from kalima surf beach, 7-11 next door (no alcohol— you have walk to the next one 100m away). Vendors across the road for street food and easy lunch or dinner.

Relaxing. Good atmosphere. Free shuttles to main road and back every hour. Wifi. Nice pool area. Good breakfast.

This hotel was very nice and the rooms are large and have good space, only one day it rained heavily and water was coming into the room through the sliding door to balcony, and one night had noisy neighbours who were fighting and screaming in the passageways of my room, apart from that I would highly recommend this hotel

Food trucks across the street. Beach access. Lots of traffic. But not too crazy

I loved the street food and convenience of local laundry, massage and free hotel shuttle to Patong. The driver was great. The Thai staff was also very good as usual in Thailand. I didn’t care much for the noise and traffic and the air conditioner stopping in the middle of the night. Also, the elevator was broken often. We are lucky not to get trapped while waiting for the repair man like a few of the other guests.

Comfortable quiet room. You can tell it’s old but I still liked the layout.
Cold shower- the temperature never stays the same temperature warm cold warm cold. Never hot!
The aircon in bedroom worked well but the aircon in kitchen/lounge blows warm air?
Pool hall could be a great space, but there was no lights, one pool stick as the others were broken and ceiling leaking.
Stairs, so many and the room numbers are confusing as were the lifts at each end of the hotel.
Gym- Out of three treadmills one worked
Don’t rate the breakfast ended up sticking with bacon and eggs as some guests were using their hands to serve their food. But this may be an insecurity of mine as I have had food poisoning before at a hotel breakfast in another Asian country.

Compliments the reception staff that got the doctor in when our boy fell ill. He ended up in hospital for three nights of our stay.

Not as good as last time I stayed at the hotel!! Half time the shuttle was full and had to pay to get into town!!

There is a garbage heap next to the property which smells putrid and can be smelled from the dining area and between areas in the hotel.

My aircon kept on having to be fixed, usually late at night, and didn't blow colder than 21 on a good day.

Very dated room. Issues with the safe. Unable to locet a hairdryer. Woke up very early by the foul smell of weed coming into the.room.

It was in a great location and the staff was super friendly!!!

The accommodation is good at 3 star level, but the receptionist named Nisreen, she served us very well. Every time we met, she smiled, was attentive and asked us questions all the time. She also tried to speak Arabic, making it easy for us to understand.

There were some issues with lights and oven in the room, otherwise stay was wonderful.
Staff were fantastic.

Old hotel , old broken tiles , dirty smelly washrooms , , far from all attraction, you waste too much time in commute , reaching any attractions , staff have been trained to say no for every request, lunch Nd dinner options limited , if you are a vegetarian God save you , even if the hotel is full of Indian crowd still the menu don't have much veg options if you want to have lunch or dinner , avoid if possible

Very nice. Just a bit far to walk.not .uch shopping close. Had to get shuttle to patong area.but other than that very nice.
