It is ok
Pros:

The location was excellent, the view was beautiful, the breakfast was very good, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The cleaning staff were friendly.

Cons:

There were several issues during our stay. Despite informing the hotel in advance and receiving confirmation, a crib for our babies was not provided on the first night. I also noticed that there were not enough baby cribs and high chairs available at breakfast.

There was quite a lot of dust on the carpet, especially under the bed, and the ironing board was rusty and not in good condition.

Additionally, when a staff member brought the iron to our room, he opened the door without waiting for permission to enter. Guests’ privacy should be respected, and staff should knock, announce themselves, and wait for the guest to open the door before entering.

At checkout, everything seemed fine, but after I had already gotten into a taxi, reception called me back and kept me waiting for about five minutes due to confusion between a cancelled reservation and the updated booking. This felt unprofessional and suggested a lack of attention to detail.

Additionally, the swimming pool was out of service, and this was not mentioned on Booking.com at the time of booking.

Peccato per qualche dettaglio, ma nel complesso approvato!
Pros:

Struttura nuova, abbastanza pulita, cambio asciugamani quotidiani (a grandi linee anche le pulizie delle camere). Personale cordiale. Colazione con vasta scelta, forse a tratti servizio lento. Comoda e funzionale la palestra. Bella vista dalle camere.

Cons:

Sufficientemente decentrato per stare fuori dal caos del centro, ma tenetelo in considerazione per gli spostamenti perché Istanbul è trafficatissima. Passano taxi frequentemente. Avevamo prenotato una tripla deluxe e alla fine era una camera doppia a cui hanno aggiunto un lettino, certo sufficientemente grande, ma ci siamo dovute arrangiare.

ممتاز جدا ومرافق مميزة وتعامل احترافي من الموظفين واحب ان اشيد واثني على موظف الاستقبال Erkut DÜZEN الذي استقبلنا خير استقبال ورغم اننا جئنا صباحا فقام بتسليمنا الغرفة مبكرا وايضا مع إفطار يوم اضافي ، كذلك كتب ملاحظة لاعطائنا غرفة مميزة في الادوار العليا مطلة على جسر البوسفور ، واشيد كذلك بموظف الاستقبال EFECAN

Overall, the hotel has some positive aspects, particularly the breakfast service & cleaning team, who were friendly and professional. However, the reception staff were disappointing and did not provide the level of service expected from a five-star hotel.
In my opinion, the property no longer meets five-star standards. The hotel feels outdated and is in need of renovation. The carpets throughout the hotel are very old and create an unpleasant odor in the rooms, which at times resembles a musty smell. While the housekeeping staff work hard and keep the rooms clean, this issue cannot be resolved by cleaning alone.
The highlight of my stay was the view, which was truly beautiful. Unfortunately, aside from the view and the breakfast staff, the overall experience did not meet my expectations for a hotel of this category.

Lovely stay near Gayrettepe metro
Pros:

I enjoyed my stay:
-the staff was very nice and competent; I especially liked the staff in the restaurant at breakfast, they were efficient with drinks and friendly
-there was a spa included in the room price; I could go to hammam and sauna
-I liked the breakfast, however, mostly the tables by the windows were occupied.
-I had good quality of sleep
-location was near the metro which gets you both to the airport and to the city center easily and quickly. There are a few cafes near the hotel and a big shopping center.

Cons:

-I honestly booked the hotel because of their 25 meter long pool but it was closed for maintenance; so if it’s important to you - check upfront
-the hotel is advertised as 5 star, it was nice but dated and some details were missing- like a robe for spa. However, I already read about this in other reviews and was expecting it.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and amazingly helpful from the moment we arrived for check-in until the very end of our stay. They were always quick, efficient, and ready to assist, making the whole experience completely seamless and stress-free.

The breakfast was spectacular, with a great variety and excellent quality. The location is also very convenient — central and well-connected, though not right in the middle of the touristy area, which gave it a more local and authentic feel. Overall, a fantastic experience and we would happily stay here again.

Point Hotel Barbaros’ta birkaç gün konakladık ve gerçekten çok memnun kaldık. Otel çok güzel, modern ve son derece temizdi. Konumu ise İstanbul’u gezmek için gerçekten mükemmel: Beşiktaş, Taksim ve Anadolu yakasına ulaşım çok kolaydı, ayrıca havaalanına gitmek de oldukça rahattı. Hem turistik gezi hem de şehir içinde rahat ulaşım açısından harika bir lokasyon.

Bizi en çok etkileyen şey personelin ilgisi ve profesyonelliği oldu. HavaBus’ta bir ceketimizi unutmuştuk ve biz ne yaptıysak müşteri hizmetlerine ulaşamadık. Otelin resepsiyonu bizimle özel olarak ilgilendi, kendileri arayıp organize ettiler ve sayelerinde ceketimizi geri alabildik. Gerçekten kusursuz ve nadir bulunan bir hizmet anlayışı.

Odalar çok güzel, geniş ve detaylı şekilde düşünülmüştü. Temizlik hem odalarda hem de otelin genelinde mükemmeldi. Açıkçası Türkiye’de kaldığımız oteller arasında en yüksek temizlik standartlarından birini burada gördük.

Kahvaltı çok lezzetli ve çeşitliydi. Ayrıca bir gece daha kalmaya karar verdiğimizde bize ücretsiz oda upgrade’i yaptılar; daha yüksek katta, manzarası daha güzel bir oda verdiler. Bunun yanında hoş geldin ikramı olarak tatlılar da gönderdiler, bu da bizi çok mutlu etti.

Konaklamamız boyunca gerçekten özel hissettik ve çok güzel ağırlandık. Kesinlikle tekrar geleceğiz ve bu oteli gönül rahatlığıyla herkese tavsiye ederiz.
