Wonderful, just wonderful
Pros:

The hotel is lovely. The staff are exceptional. Happy, friendly and so caring and helpful.

Spotlessly clean everywhere.

Food and drink - there is something for everyone.

The rooms are basic but are spacious and agin, spotlessly clean. Our balcony overlooked the pool and we could see the sea. You can rent a kettle and the safe in your room. The skies during sunrise and sunset were beyond beautiful.

It’s minutes to walk to the main area of Ed Cana, which is safe and lots there for a small resort. The beach is about 2 minutes walk away and there is a supermarket opposite.

We would return in a heartbeat!

Very poor, mostly food let this down, but hotel dated.
Pros:

This was our first time going to Ibiza, and was booked through OnTheBeach. I really cannot see where this hotel comes in as a 3***.
I understand it is near the end of the season, but for those that are time limited on when they can go on holiday, surely the hotel(s) need to rely on people like us to keep them going in the slower period?
If you arrive after the bar has closed, you have no access to tea or coffee or cold water, unless you want to pay €3.60 for a bottle at the vending machine. There are no tea/coffee facilities available in the rooms, these must be hired, but there is also no fridge, although they can hire you one for €50 a week. (anything hired MUST be paid in CASH..)
The hotel was Clean and presentable, and the room was nice and large (accessible/disabled room) booked, but that’s where it starts to fall apart.
The bathroom was very dated, and needs more lighting, with it being very dark once the shower curtain is pulled around, and also in the corner where the toilet is. The shower whilst adequate, will also without warning, scald you for a couple of seconds then go back to normal, and the shower head was VERY rusty and covered in limescale, and the drain had a lot of clogged hair in it.
The main room the ceiling has what can only be described as thin metal slats that are not fixed down, and if you open the balcony door and there is any slight wind, these constantly rattle and crash.
Any outside wind howls through the balcony doors where the seals are no longer sealing.
The hotel room doors need soft closing mechanism’s as they just slam (although that might be because they don’t always close properly without slamming them)
The hotel only has 2 small lifts for too many people and rooms, considering most people need to use them at around the same time each day for the restaurant. (one was out of use for 2-3 days)
We also enquired about hiring a mobility scooter. The hotel emailed back to say they can arrange for €125 when I went to the desk on Saturday to book it, the price had gone up to €130 but when it was delivered and the hotel called me, despite an assurance of one as requested, conveniently there was no receipt available, and the price was €140. (also to be paid in cash only) I refused and was allowed to keep it for €130.

The food is the main let down of this holiday (I have stayed at many 3* hotels)
The food was never hot, even if you were the first into the restaurant, the trays would come out and be put in the bain-maries (which were not even on most of the time) and it was cold or lukewarm if you were lucky. The breakfast was identical each day, and not very warm, but the sausages were terrible, just tasted of breadcrumbs and pepper, not any taste of meat.
Lunch and dinner were both pretty similar, in that nothing was really hot, potato wise you have to put up with chips (cold) at every meal, I think there was only 1 other day, they had another potato product (as well as chips)
The pasta and associated sauces were cold, the meats on offer were normally ok, but once again only luke warm, and if in any form of sauce, over salted. There was also pizza every day, but the base of it was rock solid.

The saving grace for food was the snack bar, Although it is repetitive, at least the stuff is cooked to order so is hot, the only downside, is that the cook/server would decide to just walk off and close up whenever he felt like it, at one point I had to ask the barman to find him, as I had been standing there for 15 mins.. (supposed to be open from 12 – 6 daily)
So, in short regarding food, considering we paid all inclusive, instead of having 3 meals a day at the hotel, we would skip breakfast (boring, cold and tasteless after 2 days) – Skip lunch mostly for the same reason, have a burger and chips, or toasted sandwich from the snack bar, then 4 nights of 7 go out for food in the evening. Therefore using money we had put aside for other things, like excursions etc.
The drinks were not really much better, the lager is well – lager, the spirits were what you expect, but the mixers were terrible, constantly had no flavour to them, just tasting like soda water. The sangria at the bar, was totally different to the sangria in the restaurant as well??
Luckily for us, just a few minutes walk away is popeyes bar and restaurant which we used for our evening meals and entertainment, along with many others from the hotel that all had the same complaints about the food.

Es Canar was a lovely area, with some lovely beaches and sea front, and I would come back anytime, but just not to this hotel.

Also outside pool bar was closed (understand out of season) but notices up saying no entry to hotel if wet, well how are you meant to get drinks or food from the bar/snack bar??

Most of the staff were lovely, but also spent a lot of time on their phones, especially the lifeguard (when he was there)

Only going you are happy to eat out all the time, or at the snack bar
Pros:

We hadn't been to Ibiza in years and chose Es Canar as it's small but has a good bus service to Santa Eulalia, which means you can get to anywhere on the island.
Es Canar hasn't changed much over the years, and still has many of the same cafes, bars and restaurants, but now has a pedestrianised section from the bus station and along the sea front, massively improving the town - this means you can enjoy a stroll along the bay, take in the fantastic view or stop for a beer or a coffee, and it was more relaxing.

As it was the end of the season it was fairly quiet, but still busy enough that most places were open, the Hippy Market was on, the glass bottom boat still running etc.

The hotel is on the northern side of the bay, a short walk to the sea front, and between a few other hotels and apartment complexes. A short walk up the road takes you to a fairly new cliff side pathway (I remember scrambling over cliffs there years ago) that takes you back round in front of the various hotels in a loop - unfortunately there isn't a seafront path all the way into the main part of town, and you'd have to walk over the beaches which were full of piles of rotting seaweed - probably washed up due to the severe storms a few days before we arrived.

The hotel itself is well presented from the outside, it has steps and a ramp at the front, onto a large reception area that is clean and well maintained - be aware of the local tourist tax (around 34 euros for 2 adults for 7 nights), and that rooms don't have any tea/coffee making facilities or fridges, you have to rent these (a fridge is €50 a week).
If you can fit it in, I recommend buying a cheap Argos travel kettle to take with you, plus tea bags and coffee, as the tea and coffee from the hotel machines is awful.
I've seen comments that there's no disabled toilet on the ground floor - there is, but it's hidden! It's at the side of the water vending machine and you have to get the key from the reception staff.

Our room was an accessible room with 3 beds (one bed was placed so the door didn't fully open, not great for accessibility! We had to move that first). The room was clean and tidy and spacious, with a good size balcony, but had a view of the road outside, but it wasn't too bad as there were plenty of trees either side due to a large woodland area.
As it was right above the hotel reception, and opposite the lifts and stairs, it was really noisy, especially when the bar closed or groups came back from a night out, with shouting, singing, doors banging etc.
The bathroom was ok - a bit dated, could have done with a deeper clean, and only had 2 down lights above the sink, no lighting for the shower or toilet.
The sink was meant to be height adjustable but wouldn't budge, and there wasn't anywhere for toiletries.
We did have 2 good sized wardrobes and a dresser unit.
The TV is locked in Hotel mode, so you can't use the HDMI ports and are limited to a handful of channels, mainly Spanish and German, with BBC2, ITV2, More 4, Drama and CBBC.
WiFi was pretty good throughout the hotel.

Staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our holiday, they're a credit to the hotel.

The pool area is a decent size, with plenty of loungers and chairs.
As it was the middle of October, the water is cold, but ok for kids and the adventurous, and there's an infants area with a paddling pool type area (hidden near there are some toilets and a disabled toilet too)

Now to the bad. The food.

Honestly, I'm not a fussy eater, but I do know basic food safety, and I do have limits.
Breakfast was OK - decent selection of cold and cooked (notice I haven't said hot) options like cereal, yoghurt, plus toasters for the bread, bread, bread rolls, croissants etc, jam and butter (butter is only available at breakfast, lunch and dinner you only get a choice of awful margarine).
For those that like a Full English, the Bacon was OK, tomatoes are tomatoes, beans weren't the worst I've had, fried eggs and omelettes were generally freshly cooked and hot, scrambled egg was fine, no idea what they do to make the mushrooms but it should be a crime against humanity..., and the sausages are probably the worst I've ever had - it's just that everything was cold.

Lunch and dinner both have salad available with cheap sliced ham and cheeses, soup (like the worst cup-a-soup you can imagine but it was warm), several main dishes with the occasional gem hidden amongst the cold, tough, overcooked meats - the braised pig cheeks were surprisingly good, generally some potatoes or rice (both cold, which is a food safety risk with rice), various vegetables etc, plus undercooked, cold chips, cold pasta, cold pasta sauces, occasionally warm and often rock hard pizza.

Dinner has a different International theme each night. If you don't eat these dishes, you are SOOL and are stuck with the salad, cold pasta, chips etc.
The mexican night was a particularly low point, with the Chilli Con Carne being massively salty (and I like salt) and beef mince that's like the stuff they used to scrape off bones for Turkey Twizzlers in the 80s - it was disgusting.

We ended up either eating out for most lunches and dinners, or having something from the snack bar, which was at least hot and fairly decent (if it opened on time or stayed open - it could just shut while you were in the queue at 4pm...)

We ended up spending over £150 eating out because one of us or both couldn't or wouldn't eat any of the food available.
We arrived on the Tuesday, they finally turned the warmers on for the food cabinets on Sunday after Jet2 came round (TUI have pulled out and Jet2 are taking over providing holidays there) and the bosses were about.

Drinks are OK.
Estrella is Estrella, and it was cold and plentiful.
The cocktails might be your thing, but we didn't like them (the Margarita wasn't terrible, but tasted mainly of cheap like cordial).
The Whisky Cream (cheap version of Baileys) is pretty good and lots of people seemed to be drinking that too - they were going through gallons of it at the bar.
There's also red and white wine and a passable Sangria, and various cheap versions of spirits that taste ok after the first 4 or 5.
Soft drinks, there's Pepsi and Pepsi Max, Kas Lemon and Kas Orange and a couple others I can't remember.
The Kas stuff didn't seem as good as I remember, but the pepsi was usually OK, but from the bar it often tasted like there was too much soda water in it - in the restaurant it was fine.

The entertainment was OK, but we don't have kids and they would have been bored as I didn't see anything for them. I'd recommend going to Popeye's bar just down the road for their entertainment (doesn't start until 10pm though) or Charlies Bar (again, 10pm start) for better entertainment, and Popeye's is good for food - I think half the hotel was going there for something decent to eat, or to the Chinese that does a decent deal at €14.50 for a selection from the limited menu, and also has a reasonably priced general menu.

It's such a shame that the food isn't better, and hot, as it would make the holiday much better - just taking care to cook things properly, server them warm and keep them warm, and use better quality ingredients in some of the dishes is all it needs, and it would only be a minimal cost increase for them.
I've never complained before, but this was bad.

If you are happy to eat out for half of your holiday and get it cheap enough then it's not too bad, but if you can afford to pay a bit more for somewhere with better food then do it.

Ibiza great hotel guests too noisy
Pros:

The staff are very friendly, there’s enough choice of food and drinks. The pool is good enough if not busy but the trees block out the sun round the pool at certain times a day. The hotel is spoiler by its paper thin walls and could definitely do with some slow closures added to the rooms entry door. Every time someone enters and leaves their rooms the whole hotel knows about it. Unfortunately we had a view of the car park from our balcony so not the best. And I didn’t get a pre warning for the charge the hotel was gonna lay on us on arrival who knew a visiting tax wouldn’t come in the booking as standard. This ate into a chunk of our spending money. Bring ear plugs if you want to achieve a good nights sleep.

Amazing hotel
Pros:

Yesterday we returned from a three night stay in this hotel, for the 3rd year! We have done the same weekend 3 times and it has still never failed us!
Such an amazing place to stay, friendly and attentive staff, especially Ana from the entertainments team, she was so friendly and made sure everyone was included in each activity! We took part in Rifle shooting on Saturday and darts on Friday, which I was the by the way🤪
You can just tell how lovely the place is, and we met and chatted to so many lovely people of all different generations! Rooms were spotless, the maids came every day and did an excellent job, and the pool side, bar and restaurant was clean too!
Food was amazing as always, always something for everyone to choose from, whether you like to try new things or can be a picky eater. There was also the snack bar, which was lovely and amazing food, from burgers and hotdogs, to toasties and chips.
Drinks were lovely, I enjoyed the tequila sunrise, which unfortunately the hotel had run out of grenadine to add to the cocktail, but this was not a problem for me. I did find however the strawberry daiquiri was a little watered down and tasted a bit like strawberry flavoured water.
However my only issue with the place this year was the pool bar not being open, but again it wasn’t a huge problem as the bar inside was always open!
Lovely place to stay, and will 1000% be returning!

As expected for a 3* budget friendly hotel
Pros:

Stayed here for 4 nights in October so was nearly the end of the season.

Pros:
-Friendly staff and warm welcome on Reception.
-Excellent location for the beach and shops
-Clean room
-Lots of sun beds available throughout the day so no need to get up early and reserve
-Selection of drinks on All Inclusive menu.
-Daytime snacks of burgers, hot dogs, chips, ice creams etc available on All Inclusive

Cons:
-No daytime entertainment. Tui did ring and email us to warn us of this before arrival. There were lots of people complaining about this but as we were notified in advance it didn’t bother us. I believe there was still night time entertainment but we were always out so didn’t see it. There is nightlife in town (less than 5 minute walk) if you want it.
-Food is very repetitive but as expected for a 3* hotel. Heard lots of people complaining about it but we always found something to eat and never went hungry. We chose to eat out sometimes but this was our choice.

Overall it was as expected for a 3* hotel. Don’t expect a 5* hotel for the price of a 3* and you will have a great time.

3* don't think so
Pros:

The main thing to watch out for is, if you are looking at this hotel for an all Inclusive holiday, you will loose your wristbands on checking out your room at 11am, so all food and drink after this time will have to be paid for, beware.
On first Impression it looks okay, after negotiating the very small lifts with 2 full size suitcases and a wheelchair, which was two separate journeys. We get to our room, decor very tired, in need of some work. We were put in the front of the hotel, can be noisy with coaches and lorries turning and the beep, beep, beeping while reversing.
Food was much the same for the meals, it did vary a bit but not too much.
There's a snack bar, 10am to 6pm, that serves good food. Although it's a set menu, day in day out.
Entertainment was non existence, 2 nights only for our week stay. This was the last week of September, but expected more for the money you paid for your holiday.
All the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The wristbands are good in respect of it opens your room door, so no searching for key cards, it's on your wrist.
There's a bus stop close by, the L24, but for other buses from Es Cana it's a 10 minute walk to town.
If we were to return to Es Cana, we wouldn't stay here again.

Give them a chance
Pros:

The location as amazing. Could go into Es Canar in a couple of minutes walk, where there were some amazing bars and restaurants.
Rooms were very basic and dated but they were cleaned/changed regularly. The air-con wasn't very good though. Very weak!!
The food was repetitive and not the best quality but again, for 3 star, it was good.
The entertainment team really tried their best and worked long hours. The visiting entertainment was the same both weeks we were there but again, not amazing but they did their best.
If there were any issues especially with the room, they were dealt with very quickly and professionally (we had issues with our safe and the electric 'tripped' a few times)
Down sides!! The lifeguard/s!! They sit under a parasol, between the pools bit not near either , on their phones!! I saw one, one day, walk around and actually look at the pool but that was it!! A few collected glasses!! But twice, I saw parents have to pull their own children from the pool. This is due to pool being very shallow but gets deep, very quickly and there's no notices warning of this. It caught a few people out.
The other was the guests. I know the hotel can not control them but the mess they left at the poolside was disgusting. Food left on plates, drinks in plastic glasses, just left and over night!!
For what we paid, for where we went, for what we got and when we went, we couldn't complain!!
On the whole, we had a lovely holiday and would definitely return to Ibiza.

Nice stay to celebrate 40th wedding anniversary
Pros:

Hotel is spotless as was our room. Staff are friendly and location is great. Few minutes to a beach but a nicer one is 5 min walk away. The food is above average with a good selection offered each day. The eggs at breakfast were not the best, slow to be cooked and there was always a queue. The restaurant was very busy at times, and staff worked hard and were constantly manning the tables and sevice stations. (A microwave should be provided, as quite often food was cold). Drinks were ok, we mostly stuck to beer and wine, and found the coke to be ok. Music round the pool was great for us and entertainment team tried their best to get folks involved in different activities during the day. Entertainment at night was not great, but we always went out for a couple of drinks to end the night. Pool was lovely and 0 sunbed wars! How refreshing! All in all a great week to celebrate where we started 40 years ago!!! We would definitely recommend this hotel. Also, get the bus from the airport to just outside the hotel for €4each. Great way to enjoy the sights

A week at the Moon Dreams Coral Beach
Pros:

Currently at Moon Dreams Coral Beach for a week B&B.

Breakfast: chaotic, by the time you find a table your food is cold. Staff can't be bothered to help.

Pool: Pool area very 'tired' needs a serious update, beds are old and very uncomfortable pool needs a good clean, more people may use the pool area if the loud obnoxious music was turned down.

Bar/Drinks: Watered down spirits and beer in my opinion, probably to cater for the all inclusive guests.

Room: The room was good, spacious and very comfortable beds, English TV channels don't all work.

Parking: If you hire a car forget this hotel. Absolutely nowhere to park, we drove around for an hour every night looking, book the Caribe .

In summary, even though this hotel is only 3 star it needs a serious upgrade, I would not stay again.

Worse all Inc, very little variety same food each day
Pros:

The hotel was OK. That’s about as much as you can say. Basic but ok. Would probably not go back unless it was an absolute bargain. Room was clean apart from the shower curtain which had some very suspicious stains and the whole bathroom needed some attention, mouldy grout and calcium deposits on taps etc. beds were comfy but only a sheet given and it was a little chilly in the night. Pool was ok but no walk in section or easy access for little ones. Kids pool tiny but ok for babies small toddlers. No floats allowed when a certain life guard was on duty 🙄 but the weekend one didn’t mind. Snack bar nice food but same every day nuggets burger hot dog salads. The restaurant was same same same!! I have never been to such a boring All Inc ! No variety! Same stuff every day. Same cheeses same salad same bread same breakfast items same puddings every day for lunch and dinner! Food is Cold very quickly, by day 2 we put a tiny amount of things on our plates to try temp before getting more and stuff isnt replenished enough. We waited 1/2 hr for the paella to be replenished after it was all gone in first 15 mins and it wasn’t replenished and that was the main dish for that meal so we went to snack bar instead. Fried chicken I’m sure was being fried since breakfast it was so tough. Odd combos like Yorkshires on American nt. kids section wasn’t great, pasta, nuggets or very pale uncooked looking hotdog sausages and some sandwiches with dried bread as been out too long, again same most nights and cold chips.
It was the worse food variety I’ve ever come across and I’ve been to many All Inc hotels.

Quiet, budget hotel doing lots of things really well!
Pros:

Second time at the hotel. Stayed in May half term and I would say this hotel still marks good value for money for what you pay. We took a free upgrade to a 'duluxe' room that was offered by our tour company. The advantage of this was slightly more modern decor and a pool view room. Counter-intuitively this is quieter than the the road side room we had last year so might be worth paying for if you are a light sleeper. The bathroom was no different to the one we had last year. Room spotlessly clean and cleaned every day. Toiletries are provided in big wall mounted packs. No fridge. The food is not to everyone's taste and we heard endless complaints. For us there was always something to eat! Breakfast excellent. Always fresh bread, cheese and fruit at every meal. More dessert selection this year. For what you pay they do a good job to produce a selection of choices. The hotel has had a couple of improvements to meet last year's complaints. They no longer charge for a cup. The bars have all had pump action spirits installed which should make service quicker. That said I have not experienced the queues others complained about! All the sunbeds have been replaced. Happily they have kept the ice creams behind the bar! The location of this hotel is really good with the promenade (turn right out of front door, go up and right) and the beach (straight across road, turn right after the hotel) and the town centre within easy walking distance. Good running routes. If the price continued to be right I would go back a third time for a quiet, restful week.

Average experience
Pros:

Just home from a week at Coral Beach, Moon Dreams Hotel, we went as a family of 5 adults and 2 children. I would say that this is an average, no frills budget hotel, but if you're looking for somewhere that caters well for children and is family friendly I would recommend. Our 5 year old Grandson had a great time.
Rooms were dated, but clean, and having the room key in a chip on your wristband was a bonus.
There was a good variety of food on offer, but not much choice if you are Gluten free, but they did provide warm gluten free rolls at breakfast. Burgers, chips and hot dogs were available at the poolside all day.
The hotel was well located, with a mini market close by, beach a few mins walk and bars and restaurants in close proximity.
The TUI reps were very friendly and Julie sorted us out for a round the Island tour, which I would recommend.
All in all, this was good for a family break, if you're on a budget.

For what we paid it was great!!
Pros:

For what we paid for this holiday....what's not to like?!
Taxi from the airport was 50 Euros and took just under 40 mins.
Check in was smooth and efficient. The room keys are built in to the AI bands so makes it really convenient not having to constantly look for the key.
Room was perfectly fine. 3 nice big beds and an old but serviceable shower plus a bath with is a bonus with kids. Air con was on but could be improved. A fridge would have been ideal but no such luck!
Staff were always very smiley and friendly. Entertainment staff were great with the kids and always encouraging them to join in.
Drinks were as you'd expect from a 3*. Cold beers and lots of other choice.
Ice Lollies & ice creams included too which was a bonus!
Food hall was absolute chaos!! We avoided this at lunchtime and just had something from the snack bar (2 visits a day is enough for anyone!)
The food itself was fine! We are vegetarian and there was always plenty of choice. Desserts were nice too.
We sat by the kids pool everyday and it was so peaceful and gets full sun all day unlike the main pool.

Beach is a few minutes walk with a few small bars. 3 or 4 shops/mini markets within a minute or two.

They also provide beach towels for a small refundable deposit.

We didn't stay up for the entertainment as it didn't start until 21.30. Also it's inside with no vibe which was disappointing as they have an outdoor stage....why not use it??

All in all I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a no frills cheap week in the sun!

Nice family break
Pros:

Firstly I would like to say the staff work really hard and are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The food is average for a 3* all inclusive. In my opinion the bedroom and bathrooms need updating. I found it really naughty that your wrist bands are cut off on the last day - I've never heard of this before and it's really unfair. Good location, Overall a nice hotel for a 3*

Lovely stay at Coral Beach 🏝️
Pros:

We stayed here as a family of 8. We had a very enjoyable stay. The location is great very close to the beach, shops and bars. The cleaners were very attentive and cleaned our room everyday and replenished our towels everyday also. The food was what you would expect for a 3* all inclusive hotel. It wasn’t brilliant but it wasn’t terrible. There was always something to eat even on the nights when they ran different theme nights. ( Mexican, Italian, American & Spanish). The entertainment that we saw was good. The entertainment staff work extremely hard especially in the heat!
The magician was absolutely fantastic! Overall I would recommend the hotel and would return in the future.
