I attended a business lunch with a client on 10 April 2026, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

We arrived at 13:43 and were promptly given menus. However, we then waited an unacceptable 26 minutes before anyone came to take our order. During that time, we attempted to make eye contact with staff rather than calling out, yet we were completely ignored. Eventually, I had to approach the manager myself to place our order and raise a concern. Rather than addressing the issue professionally, the manager insisted that staff had already attended to us once. As per his standard, that was good enough.
The waitress attended to the other two tables, which came much after us.

When the food finally arrived, my Huddle’s signature burger was both burned and unpleasantly slimy. At that point, I had already lost my appetite and chose not to pursue it further. To make matters worse, no condiments such as ketchup or mayonnaise were provided, no garnish on the plate, just a plain burger, and no staff member checked on our table at any point during the meal.

After finishing, we waited an additional 22 minutes with empty plates, expecting them to be cleared or to be offered coffee (which I had already ordered but never received). Once again, we had to call out just to request the bill.

The service throughout was inattentive and unprofessional. The waitress made no attempt to apologise and instead tried to justify the delays, which only added to the frustration.

This establishment clearly requires significant improvement in both staff training and customer service standards. Combined with the poor quality of the food, this was a highly unsatisfactory experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Cons:

It ended up being quite a long drive to where we needed till be the next morning due to most roads having a 20mph speed limit- worth considering when planning travel!

Great hotel with lovely staff
Pros:

Will definitely be be coming back again, the gym and spa are also pretty amazing, the rooms are comfortable but as I said last time I’m a very hot person, and the duvet is too hot for me, I would prefer a sheet, even if it was just in the cupboard for use if needed, although I do realise that if it was there, then some undisciplined people may try to take it home with them maybe.

Very comfortable, good facilities, quiet, good location
Pros:

Great room(s) - a Rose suite plus bathtub as well as shower
Spacious and quiet.
Lot of TV channels incl sports if wanted
Access to swimming pool (not particularly crowded), jacuzzi etc. next door.
Early check in 3pm and late checkout (noon) makes whole experience even better.

Cons:

Air con was a bit weak and also a rather noisy
(Pacman old style arcade game on level 2 was out of action)

Good food only one shower possible in two days for two of us, for almost £300.
Pros:

It was very close to our daughter who we were visiting for two days.
Nice big bedroom, very comfortable bed. Great view from the 4th floor.

Cons:

First night we had a flooded bathroom, blocked drain in the shower of the wet room. I slipped on the wet floor knocked my nose, blood on the floor and towels. Had to use the bath towels to clean the floor of water.
Restaurant in the evenings very noisy with people shouting a cross their tables. Had to get back to our room for a bit of quiet.

Never staying here again!
Pros:

The staff in the restaurant were really lovely and the general reception areas were peaceful, comfortable and pleasant.

Cons:

The air con didn’t work in the room, the beds were rock hard and the reception staff were false and not particularly helpful.
