Location and friendly staff.
We booked this property for a long weekend in Fredericksburg. Overall, our stay was fine. We had no major issues. Check-in for us was seamless, as I had booked through Booking.com so it was pre-paid.
The room was fairly large as there was a bathroom with bath/shower, sink, toilet all in one to the left. There was a sitting area with a dresser that had a TV and single serve coffee maker. Then there was a bedroom that had an option to close off the two areas. The bedroom had a closet, TV and nightstands on both sides. Others have commented on this, but I'd agree that the carpeting was very worn and outdated both in the room and throughout the hotel.
The things I really liked about this property were:
• Hot, buffet style was included
• Location was just two or three blocks off Main St., so very convenient, without appearing congested. The 290 bus has its drop off/pickup in the upper parking lot but I never had a problem finding a parking space.
We had a couple of issues during our stay. The coffee maker didn't work (yes, it was plugged in and did power on for a second) and one of the TV remotes didn't work. I did not call and report it, so the staff did not have a chance to remedy. I just made due.
I would put this on the same level as an older Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn.
Location
Definitely outdated
Closeness to main drag
Beautiful facility and setting. Rooms are generously sized, linens excellent, bed comfortable. Walking distance to town. Laundry facilities on site. Nice breakfast buffet included. Pool, outside seating by the creek. We already wand to plan a return trip and stay longer next time. Friendly staff and very helpful.
Nice hotel and wonderful staff. Would stay again.
Breakfast was good. Location to downtown was excellent! Refrigerator and MW in room.
Lightning in room was dim.
Breakfast was good, not exceptional. Enjoyed the view out our window (room 209) of Baron's Creek!!
Hope staff can replace the LG TV in the bedroom of room #209.
Clean rooms, comfortable bed. Hot tub was great when it was 48 degrees! Beware of the long walk back in lol!
HOT Breaskast was not all great..eggs had vegetables in it, gravey needed more salt and pepper, potatoes had a weird seasoning/taste
Location was excellent.
I requested a jacuzzi room and the jacuzzi didn’t work. Front desk workers didn’t care at all.
