I would stay again, as they have the casino, restaurant, and great location. Friendly people also.
Pros:

The location was perfect for me. Room needs updating, but was clean and met my needs. Gas station on premises was great, with small convenience store. Hot water was immediate.
I definitely would NOT walk to the lake.not a great path and in people's yards, with no access to the actual lake. Great view of the lake tho.

Cons:

The fact that the A/C and heater are all connected by one unitevery room. room. I had to block the fan bc it blew hard and constNt. You cannot turn it off. The windows were old and filthy and the screens were broken. the carpet needs cleaning also. Just basically old and outdated inside. The wind blew so hard o e night that you could hear it coming threw the front door.

A nice self contained Lodge with bar, restaurant and Casino!
Pros:

Very Nice Rustic Decor. It has a very nice little Casino and Restaurant onsite, and it's nestled right next to Topaz Lake. Our room was a lake view, and it was beautiful at Sunrise and Sunset. The room has all of the basic amenities, and the beds were comfortable. There was a general Store, fuel and even an RV Park, so it was very self contained. Great place to walk your dog too!

Cons:

I can't think of anything to complain about!

Schöne Lage am See, viel Platz, Einrichtung etwas altmodisch, aber charmant
Pros:

Die Lage des Motels mit Blick aus dem Zimmer auf den Topaz Lake ist toll.
Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, die Betten bequem und draußen gibt es Picknicktische.

Cons:

Man muss durchs Casino, um einzuchecken.
Die Einrichtung ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen.

Great place to stop and rest when taking the drive to Northern Nevada!
Pros:

I have wanted to stay at the Topaz for a long time. I love the location and the vibe. Everyone is very friendly. The little bar and live band was entertaining.

Cons:

I thought the price for the room was a bit high for the quality of the room and the lodge. Don't know if I would stay again but we will definitely keep stopping by on our way through.

Half a stay
Pros:

The place was AMAZING. The rooms were clean. The restaurant was great. The store is nice. Ample parking.

I plan on coming back.

Cons:

I couldn't stay the second night due to a fire.

My BIG complaint is about booking.com. The site said it was 15 miles from Carson City in Garderville. It is in fact at Topaz Lake, which is 20 miles from Gardnerville and 35 miles from Carson City. We put the address booking.com gave us and we ended up at a GAS STATION. I'm sad to admit that if I had accurate information I would have chosen a different place.
