Breakfast
Not clean enough. The “mt view” was subjective. A mt behind a lot of town. Lights on the balconies you can’t turn off so it’s bright all night. Bathroom is so small you can’t close the door. Breakfast was bad. Fruit and cereal that were old. Microwaveable eggs on styrofoam.
Me and my wife decided to come to Pigeon Forge to celebrate her birthday weekend. We are expecting our first child and she is 7-1/2 months pregnant. We decided to stay at the Park Grove Inn as it was rated a 4.0 on TripAdvisor. It had an indoor pool and it was priced around $100 less than other hotels in the area. We perused the reviews on TripAdvisor and the vast majority were 4 and 5 stars. There were a few 1 and 2 stars, but I had just chalked it up to a select few people just having a bad experience. In hindsight, this should have been our first clue.
We arrived around 5:15 pm on Friday, April 10. We checked in, and noticed that the floor wasn’t vacuumed anywhere from the front desk to our room on the fourth floor. The lobby, the elevators, and the hallways were full of dirt, trash, and candy. I looked over it; there was a bus in the parking lot and a large family outside. Maybe they had a get-together and they hadn’t had a chance to clean up after them. When we checked into our room, we also noticed that the floor in our room looked dirty as well. I also noticed on the way out, that the comforters were stained in various places on both beds. Also didn’t think too much of it, as we just dropped our bags off, and went out to go somewhere to eat. We left, went shopping and to eat, then got back around 9-9:30pm. Now that we had returned, we started to see just how bad the room truly was.
When I pulled back the sheets on the bed to go to sleep, what I found was appalling. On the sheets was a blood stain, little black hairs, and crumbs. On the other bed, one of the pillows had a massive blood stain as well. I counted 7 various stains on everything from the sheets to the pillowcases. The mirror still had toothpaste stains on it and the glass from the shower was still filled with soap scum. This room hadn’t been cleaned. I went downstairs to bring it to the night manager’s attention. He just brushed it off, saying he didn’t have a different room to put us in, but he had 1 extra set of sheets. The sheets he gave me were also stained. At this point, I was done. I then went back to the room to take pictures and to try to find another hotel, because I wasn’t going to subject my very pregnant wife to that type of filth. On the way back to the desk to check out, we really started to notice just how filthy the hallways and elevators were. It looked like they hadn’t vacuumed anywhere in the last few days, and the hallways had an odor that was indescribable. When we went to check out and get our money back because we had found another hotel to stay at, the night manager said he could refund us for the second night that we weren’t going to stay, but that we had to contact his boss for a refund for the 3 hours we had spent in the room. As of 4/15/26, we still haven’t received this credit despite multiple people telling us that “It should be there after a couple of days”. He said that we might or might not get in contact with him because it was the weekend. He went on to say that this happens all the time and that housekeeping was “good one day and bad the next.” I don’t believe that being a housekeeper at a hotel is a job that you can be “good one day and bad the next.”
We went back the next day to talk to a morning manager, confirm we were at least refunded for the second night, and to inquire about a refund for the first night that we didn’t stay and stayed a total of 3 hours in. She informed me that we were refunded for the second night but with it being the weekend that it could take a couple of days. We were told that we could get in contact with the manager when he gets back from out of town on Tuesday of next week. As of 4/15/2026, I have made an attempt to call the manager, Jack, and I haven’t received a call back. When I called yesterday, the morning manager informed me that Jack was delayed and wouldn’t be back till today. I do want to say that the two people behind the desk both days in the daytime were very nice and accommodating. That was the only redeeming quality about this Motel. The pictures I have enclosed with this review show just what I’m talking about. I could have taken more, but I wanted to get my very pregnant wife out of there as fast as I could. Later on, I read reviews that described mold in certain rooms, and I’m glad we made the decision to switch hotels. This is honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I really recommend you take your families elsewhere to stay in Pigeon Forge.
The whole experience was good. Good breakfast, good service, great location, good amenities, everyone was friendly and helpful. Decent price.
The only thing id say to bring it up to a 10 is, it could use a deep cleaning. The bathroom floors and carpet need a good scrubbing. The comforter we had was stained and looked very unappealing. Other than this, it was great and I would highly recommend.
Friendly staff, nice location, nice looking rooms.
The mattress was hard, and the outside pool was dirty
Big breakfast. Pools and pool times was awesome.
Indoor pool was a little dirty (mainly with hair) but other than that, amazing time. Lots of fun memories. Will definitely book here again

The hot tub was nasty
The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious.
Smelled like smoke in the hallways. The shower area was not very clean. Breakfast ran out by 8:30 each day so we ended up having to go to a restaurant to get breakfast.
