The beds were comfy and facilities in the room.
Parking space very tight
Location good
Very tired decor. Scratches and paint peeling. Basic amenities provided - no soaps or toiletries. Had to request new batteries as remote on tv not working. Smelt like someone may have had animsls inside . Pool cold even though advertised as heated.
Awesome location and view. What a fabulous place to stay when in Geraldton. Loved having Skeets so close as well. Highly recommend it.
Location
Asked for twin beds in the second bedroom and ended up with one double. My daughter had to sleep on the couch. When asked reception we were told housekeeping had gone home and there was nothing they could do. Was given 1 sheet. No pillow or blanket.
No plug to be able to use the bath.
Windows so dirty you couldn't see out of them. Minimal kitchen facilities to be able to prepare food. Very loud...no sound proofing at all. Could hear neighbour's talking and moving around their apartment. Very overpriced for what we received.
Excellent location. A spacious apartment.
There were birds on the patio so sitting out there was a no go.
Young girl at reception was apologetic, quick to act in moving us to a clean room & happy to give a refund for our second nights stay.
What a disgrace! How they could even legally let guests stay in the first room we were given blows my mind.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment no 14, upon opening the door I knew things weren’t right. The musty smell was quite overwhelming, then I went to open the balcony door and the latch side of the door was just hanging off not even screwed into place, fly wire door didn’t even close, the balcony itself was absolutely disgusting 🤢 bird poo/feathers/dirt covered everything! A Coles supermarket paper bag shoved up on the balcony light covered in poo, main bedroom had mentos wrappers left on window sills, windows were so filthy you couldn’t even see outside them, Venetian blinds looked to have about years worth of dust/grime built up on them in every room, ensuite bathroom mirror looked to have mould all growing behind it, shower mouldy & smelly, main toilet was constantly running & loudly filling up every 5 mins, main bathroom had mould on walls, mouldy dirty shower, the drains were full of black gunk, sheer curtains in lounge room area had some sort brown mess splashed all over them tv’s ripped out from bedrooms, I could honestly go on with how bad this health hazard room was!!!!
Things only got worse from there, they looked to be putting up a new pool fence and when finished for the day all they had was a bunting rope across the non fenced area. having small kids I was absolutely mortified as a child could just walk and fall straight into the pool!!! What a legal nightmare this place is. Where is the compliant temporary pool fencing????
Thankfully the young girl at reception agreed to move us to a different room, no16. The freshness as you opened the door was reassuring, sure enough this room looked to be recently renovated with fresh paint, carpets & clean new bathrooms. Why the hell we weren’t placed into this room first blows my mind & I am so angry!
The secure parking.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
A very well appointed 2 bedroom apartment , a lovely stay.
Great, clean and comfortable room with all the necessities needed for our two night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful
Shower in ensuite flooded the bathroom floor as part of the shower door seal was missing.
The location
Cold shower at times
The location
In general, dated and old. Frying pan was old. Shower head had green moulds and washer is not clean. The tap was leaky. Beds were soft and I could feel the springs.
We stayed at the Mantra on our way up to Monkey Mia and again for one night on our return journey.
The property is less of a traditional hotel and more of a motel-style complex offering self-contained apartments. The rooms are spacious and clean, with some basic toiletries provided. A washing machine is included, and dishwasher crystals/tablets are supplied to get you started, although for longer stays you will need to purchase additional supplies.
The location is very convenient, with a Coles supermarket nearby for all essentials and a liquor store within easy reach. There are also plenty of food outlets in the area for dining out. I will write a separate review for Skeetas, which is attached to the Mantra; unfortunately, it is a restaurant we would not recommend.
Geraldton, Western Australia itself has changed significantly over the past 20 years and now feels like a true boom town. We would not hesitate to recommend staying longer than just one night, as the town has plenty to offer and is well worth exploring.
