I enjoyed 2 nights at the Courtyard Marriott, nice staff and updated facility.
Pros:

Located next to the Guadalupe River. Nice bar, recently updated rooms.

Cons:

Shower never got past lukewarm. No mattress cover on bed.

Cons:

One late night there was a disturbance and loudness by a party that were yelling at each other.....I was quite after about 30 minutes of having to listen to that. That was uncalled for in a place like this especially for the room rate.

Only down side was the property doesn’t have a restaurant or free breakfast. They have a “bistro” that didn’t have much and I wouldn’t call it a restaurant.

Possible toxic exposure from black stuff in shower water.

My room. Put in handicap room on 3rd floor near elevator. First off, there was black crud coming out in shower water. Black stuff got on my husband & myself. Disgusting. And I was charged for this room? I should sue for toxic exposure.

Loud Noise

Cons:

writing to express my disappointment and frustration with our recent stay at your hotel. We booked a king-size room with a balcony and lake view for three nights, arriving on Thursday evening. However, our stay was severely impacted by the excessive construction noise that began at 6:46 AM on Friday and continued throughout the day.

We were assigned room 200, which was literally next to the construction site. The noise from the jackhammers, air blowers, and construction crane was relentless and made it impossible for us to get a good night's sleep. We were disturbed again on Saturday morning at the same time, with the same level of noise. I reported this to the front desk, and while the staff was apologetic, the solution offered was not satisfactory.

Despite explaining our situation, we were told that moving rooms would require an additional payment, which we weren't willing to do. The alternative room offered was a downgrade from our original room, and we didn't feel it was a suitable solution.

Given the stress and discomfort we experienced during our stay, including a lack of relaxation and sleep, I'd like to request compensation. We left the hotel with headaches and body pain, which was not what we expected from our stay.
