The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large and very nice.

Cons:

It was freezing cold and a little musty smelling. However, it is an old hotel.

Never again
Pros:

We went there for a wedding and we stayed one night which was the worst night I've ever spent at a hotel. I asked for a quiet room because I'm a light sleeper. Our room was below a bar which did not quiet down until 11 pm😳. The front desk was not helpful in instructing us regarding the different elevators for the second floor, Not good signage. Never see me again. Shower smelled like sewer. All for $317... price gouging people!

Charming hotel
Pros:

I love this hotel: the staff are always pleasant and goes beyond what I’ve come to expect from customer service.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. If you’re looking for modern amenities such as an in-room refrigerator, there are none. We didn’t miss them. The hotel, lounge and restaurant offer good drinks and well prepared food.

Wedding Weekend
Pros:

We had our rehearsal dinner in the ballroom (Rick's Chophouse) and our room block at this hotel for our wedding weekend. This hotel is in a great location for shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. Everything is walking distance which made it extremely convenient for our wedding guests. The food for the rehearsal was delicious and the staff was extremely helpful the entire weekend. Claire was at great assist in planning our weekend.

For us this day was magical, there was an event going on on the square. We did not know about, and it was a great escape

The property was nicely located and super cute.

Cons:

I was aware ahead of time that there were events at this hotel that could be loud until late at night. We were up and having a good time so it was not an issue for us, but if you are an early to bed person, this is probably not the hotel for you. Loud wedding party, music until 11 and the noises from cleaning up and people leaving.

Pros:

Great hotel in a fun weekend getaway town. I grew up in McKinney back in the 80s, and I still loving hanging out there today. Fun place to grab a drink, a good meal, and hang out with friends. The Grand Hotel is located in the middle of everything and allows us to hang out a bit longer without the hassle of driving home.

Great experience- was there before a wedding and enjoyed the proximity to downtown McKinney and the staff was excellent, bar felt

Bare bones accommodations and Very Loud
Pros:

Loud, non-stop “music” and bare bones accommodations. The person n the next room had a screaming child and a screaming dad who chased the child all around the halls. The walls are thin, every sound comes through. The loud, thumping music from the bar could be clearly heard inside our third-floor room. There is no coffee make, no microwave, no mirror (other than in the bathroom), and no window. The downtown location and the professional staff are the only redeeming qualities of this hotel.
