For us this day was magical, there was an event going on on the square. We did not know about, and it was a great escape
Pros:

The property was nicely located and super cute.

Cons:

I was aware ahead of time that there were events at this hotel that could be loud until late at night. We were up and having a good time so it was not an issue for us, but if you are an early to bed person, this is probably not the hotel for you. Loud wedding party, music until 11 and the noises from cleaning up and people leaving.

Pros:

Great experience- was there before a wedding and enjoyed the proximity to downtown McKinney and the staff was excellent, bar felt
Like old west oil and the restaurant was top tier!!

Bare bones accommodations and Very Loud
Pros:

Loud, non-stop “music” and bare bones accommodations. The person n the next room had a screaming child and a screaming dad who chased the child all around the halls. The walls are thin, every sound comes through. The loud, thumping music from the bar could be clearly heard inside our third-floor room. There is no coffee make, no microwave, no mirror (other than in the bathroom), and no window. The downtown location and the professional staff are the only redeeming qualities of this hotel.

Great experience
Pros:

We stayed at the property for the entire week and attended my sons wedding that was held at the property. The hotel is in a prime location for shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. Everything is walking distance which is extremely convenient. The staff was so helpful during our stay with any issues that arose. The attached restaurant was top quality food and service and reminds you of the old school steakhouses with the 5 star table service. Also we didn't have to lift a finger during the wedding and were able to just enjoy our time with our family due to the attentive staff. Will definitely be back again.

Perfect choice for a stay in McKinney.
Pros:

Beautiful historic hotel with contemporary upgrades in the heart of downtown. Great bar and restaurant on site.

The building is older so the sound proofing is lacking. Lots of slamming doors and noise in the hallway

Lovely location but comes with a price
Pros:

Great location, lovely staff

Cons:

Our room was above the lounge, live music and barely insulated it was like sleeping in a club. I raised the issue to the staff as we travelled with a young child but couldn’t change the room that night. The second night we couldn’t sleep because of blasting TV and fighting couple next door. When raising issue at checkout the staff member just said „sorry to hear this“ - as if this is a party hotel and they get the complaint every other day. Beware of room 202.

Luxury from the past
Pros:

A lovely Hotel, a little like walking back in time, in luxury. The suite was really nice and to get a four post bed, what a treat, even the bathroom had a touch of luxury from the past with the raised cobbled shower floor and beautiful vanity

Pre New Year visit
Pros:

Very nice hotel, reception staff friendly. Bar was great, lovely atmosphere. Food was tasty, plentiful and piping hot. Cocktails fab!! Only suggestion made on check out is having a table and chairs provided for breakfast as eating off lap on bed not practical.

I give it a five out of 10 not bad, beautiful place kind of a tricky location
Pros:

It’s a beautiful property what they don’t tell you is that the other half of the property is across the street and it’s been remodeled and much more modern furniture

Cons:

I didn’t like that we were separated from our party
