I stayed at Hotel La Superba and overall it’s a solid, practical choice rather than a luxury experience. The rooms are modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious, with comfortable beds and well-kept bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, and check-in is smooth, even for late arrivals. Breakfast is good by Italian standards, offering enough variety to start the day properly.
The main strength of this hotel is its location. It’s very close to the train station and the cruise port, making it ideal for short stays or transit trips. You can also walk to major attractions like the aquarium without much effort. As well the Lighthouse of Genoa is very close to one of the 7 (2nd tallest lighthouse in the world) considered one of the wonders of the ancient world.
That said, the surrounding area isn’t the best, especially at night. It’s generally fine during the day, but the atmosphere changes after dark and may feel a bit uncomfortable. The hotel itself does its job well, but it can’t change the character of the neighborhood. Parking is not directly managed by the hotel, and the amenities are fairly basic.
A clean, convenient, quite hotel, great for a short stay, business trip, or catching a train or cruise. Just don’t expect charm from the surrounding area, particularly in the evening.

Nice hotel, clean and modern. Despite the noise outside, it seemed quite calm inside the room.
The location is too busy, too much traffic, difficult to find the places around the hotel that would feel safe.
