Empfehlenswertes Hotel
Pros:

Riesen Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer mit Liegestühlen und im obersten Stock. Upgrade auf die erste Reihe am Strand. Tolles Essen, gute Lage, gepflegte Umgebung mit tollem, kilometerlangen Radweg am Meer entlang und zu Fuß schnell in der Einkaufsstraße. Gratis Parkplatz und Benützung des großen Pools im Nebenhotel ist praktisch. Der kleinere Pool und der Whirlpool im Hotel ist auch als Abschluss vom Badetag herrlich. Zimmer sehr sauber und Personal freundlich.

A la card Abendessen ist nicht jedermanns Sache-aber geschmacklich sehr gut!

Sicherheitmangel am Pool mit schweren gesundheitlichen Folgen – absolut keine Empfehlung
Cons:

Ich muss leider eine absolut mangelhafte Bewertung für das Hotel Excelsior in Bibione hinterlassen. Mein Aufenthalt im Juni 2026 endete aufgrund massiver Sicherheitsmängel und unzureichendem Krisenmanagement in einer medizinischen Katastrophe.
Der Unfall:
Am 27.06.2026 brach beim Einsteigen in den Pool die oberste Stufe der Poolleiter komplett weg. Mein Unterschenkel/Schienbein wurde zwischen Rahmen und Stufe eingeklemmt. Eine hervorstehende Schraube oder ein Nagel riss mir dabei eine tiefe Fleischwunde auf. Ich konnte mich nicht selbst befreien; andere Badegäste mussten mir helfen.
Katastrophales Krisenmanagement vor Ort:
Eine Mitarbeiterin stellte fest, dass die Wunde zu tief sei und ein Rettungswagen gerufen werden müsse. Man ließ mich daraufhin bei 35 °C Hitze rund eine Stunde auf einer Liege warten. Nach ungeduldiger Nachfrage und unter extremen Schmerzen wurde mir lapidar mitgeteilt, dass die Rettung wegen "Zeitmangels" doch nicht komme. Stattdessen wurde ich mit einem E-Golfwagen durch Bibione zu einer Ambulanzstelle gefahren. Dort musste ich weitere drei Stunden warten, bis die Wunde schließlich unter Lokalanästhesie mit 15 Nähten genäht wurde. Die restlichen Urlaubstage verbrachte ich unter starken Schmerzen im Hotelzimmer.
Die schweren gesundheitlichen Folgen:
Der Leidensweg war damit nicht vorbei. Wegen anhaltender, unerträglicher Schmerzen musste ich zu Hause die Unfallambulanz in Salzburg aufsuchen. Diagnose: Eine schwere Wundinfektion. Ich musste vom 6. bis zum 10. Juli stationär im Krankenhaus aufgenommen werden. Bis heute (Ende Juli) ist die Wunde nicht abgeheilt. Ich habe ein 4- bis 6-wöchiges Bade- und Sonnenverbot auferlegt bekommen – mein Sommer ist damit komplett gelaufen.
Fazit:
Hier wurden Wartungspflichten der Poolanlagen grob vernachlässigt, was zu einer schweren, langwierigen Verletzung führte.

die Klimaanlage schafft es nicht wirklich das Zimmer kühl zu halten ... Frühstück könnte etwas mehr Auswahl haben, bzw. müsste der Schinken gekühlt werden so das er nicht schwitzt beim Buffet

Alles Tip Top von Rezeption bis zum Zimmermädchen. Alle waren außergewöhnlich freundlich. Die Lage ist so gut. Überall in ein paar Minuten. Ich werde wieder kommen. Da hat wirklich alles sehr, sehr gut geklappt. Frühstück und Abendessen alles sehr gut. Kleiner Kritikpunkt! Das Essen hätte heißer sein können. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt. Toll geführtes Hotel.

Pros:

The room had its own dedicated numbered sun bed on the beach (20 EUR deposit per room is required, paid by cash!!! at check-in). Beach towels are available, but also require 20 EUR deposit per piece.
The hotel is extremely clean, and the reception staff are very helpful. Be prepared that in Italy, German is often more widely spoken than English.
We arrived at 7 PM and they were still able to provide a parking space. Street parking costs 10 EUR per day.
The breakfast selection is adequate, and everyone can find something to eat. The juice machine is not always perfect, but this seems to be common elsewhere as well.
The restaurant staff are excellent, and there is even a Hungarian lady who can assist if needed.
Shops, restaurants are nearby, and the area is pleasant. There is a large shared pool with the neighboring hotel, which is clean and not crowded at all. There is also a smaller pool. Our first-floor room even had a sun lounger on the terrace.
Overall, I recommend this hotel.

Cons:

The price-to-value ratio is not bad, but I think it is slightly expensive. For this price, I would automatically include a beach towel, or at least charge for it only if it is not returned.
At breakfast, the drink machine is not always perfect.
Early in the morning, the garbage collectors can be a bit noisy, but that is the case everywhere. On the first morning, an alarm was going off somewhere from 6 a.m. for about an hour (not the hotel’s fault). Also around 6 a.m., someone dropped some metal trays with a loud crash. In the neighboring hotel, there was live music until 11 p.m. (quite loud), but it was not disturbing. Just something to be aware of if you tend to go to bed early.
There were also two longer power outages (not the hotel’s fault). However, if something like this happens, it might be worth communicating it to the guests in some way before everyone goes down one by one to report that there is no electricity in their rooms (I’m not sure what the best way to do this would be).
But honestly, these are only minor remarks if I really want to point out negatives.
Although there are cups, tea, sugar, milk...there are no spoons in the room or at least I did not find them.
Anyhow I would recommend the hotel!
