Very nice room, good dinner and breakfast, great location with the castle next door a few minutes walk away.
L'emplacement exceptionnel, le calme, le petit déjeuner, le décor

Restaurant was great
Room 225. No windows! Why stay in a place with such a beautiful view to be in a room with no windows. There were 2 fake windows and a balcony with a view on the parking lot. The staff made no effort to accommodate us.
The room was well appointed with quality fittings and a good bed.
There were excellent views from the terrace.
The parador was very beautiful, being an amazing, historic building in a stunning location.
We loved the food in the bar, and the reasonably priced drinks.
The castle (next to the the) parador was also very impressive.
The room needed a better selection of coffes and teas. We had to ask for these.

This Parador is outside of town and up a hill. It’s beside Santa Catalina castle. It’s has an older look and feel to it which is what we prefer to the more modern looking ones. As with every Parador we’ve stayed at check in was easy. The room was spacious with a small balcony overlooking the mountains/hillside.
Its location outside of town is both a positive and a negative. The positive is one is afforded great views of the mountain. The negative is if one wants to eat at other than the Parador or see the town, one must drive 14 minutes or take a taxi. The hotel has free parking, but it can get filled up. It does have charging points for those with an EV.
We ate the the Parador one night. While both meals tasted good, the bean stew with prawns had literally one prawn. At €16.5 and only one prawn, it was overpriced.
The toilet in the bathroom was in its own little room and that was nice. We had a couple issues with the shower. For a while we couldn’t get water to come out of the hand held sprayer, but slightly forcing the valve we got it to work. Also, adjusting the water temperature wasn’t easy. The water was constantly hot with zero cold water. I had to have the front desk come up and look at it and after he forced the valve cold water finally came out. Certain areas of the shower needed to be re grouted as well as a few spots on the light switch and hair dryer wall.
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
