Great place to stay near the beach and old town. Room and grounds were well kept and very clean. Good value and no real cons I can think of.

This is a fun and classic beach side hotel with fine rooms representative of a 3 star rating. The staff were fine, not overly attentive but when asked provided information. Overall, 3 star experience standard.

Excellent hotel with unbeatable views of the sea front. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and were even able to loan me a UK to EU charging adapter for my phone. Only downside is that the rooms have no fridge. Would be great if the hotel could offer these in select rooms in the future. :)

Lovely location , great breakfast. Room on the small side. Only 2 coffee and 2 milk provided for my entire stay. No refills will be provided! A bit mean considering the room is €200 per night.

The balcony view is amazing. The staff, specifically Maria, was very accommodating and helpful. They spoke English, held on to my luggage when I arrived early, and let me check into my room 1.5 hrs earlier than check in time since it was done being cleaned. They let me borrow the beach chair and umbrella as well during my stay. Since the hotel is fitted with European outlets, I was able to rent an adapter for 20 euros that was refundable at checkout. Overall, the location was extremely close to good restaurants, the beach, and the train station. My stay was lovely!

We loved our stay in Menton. The garden at the property was wonderful, the staff was so friendly, the view was astonishing. We walked about half a mile from the train station and it’s very conveniently located.

This was a wonderful property. Do yourself a favour and take the half-board option if available. Dinner was always a wonderful and perfectly prepared meal and so convenient after a day of beach and shopping and exploring. We had such a wonderful experience and already looking for our next trip here. We will miss the relaxed and safe vibe of Menton.

Lovely hotel

Excellent location, very friendly, happy and helpful staff. Nice room. Some noise from outside at the back of the hotel eg early morning delivery and bin lorries.

We had a lovely room with a large terrace. The hotel has beautiful grounds and great views over the sea. Well located with the front doors taking you straight onto the bottom of the high street for easy reach of the shops, restaurants and old town, whilst the back provides access to the beach and many beachside bars.
We missed having a pool but the sea is right opposite although the beach clubs at the main las sablettes beach are 15 mins walk.

Everyting was excellent

Menton is a lovely place to stay and the hotel is conveniently located across the road from the beach, near the centre of the old town and a short walk from the station. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and some beautiful gardens to visit. Transport links are good so a day trip to Nice or into Italy is simple. A warning about the beach, getting in and out of the water is tricky.
The hotel is a handsome old building but there has been a lack of investment in recent years. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a large comfortable room, which was kept in a good state of cleanliness by the staff. But there was some peeling paint, the shower door needed a seal at the bottom to stop the bathroom floor flooding, the TV didn't get the channels it was supposed to, the a/c wasn't up to the task in a heat wave though after a few days a technician was able to turn it up a notch.
I would have given the hotel 4 stars, but the real let down was the restaurant. Breakfast offered the usual range but a very limited selection and poor replenishment. Self-service on trays made it feel like the works canteen. We tried to have dinner our first night but it was only for those on half board with a no choice set menu. Lunch was also unavailable when we arrived at 1.20 although it was billed to finish at 1.30.
I suspect management is cutting corners on maintenance and has insufficient kitchen staff to cope, which is a pity because it could be a really super hotel.

Excellent 3 Star Hotel, perfectly situated for the beach and the main tourist street in Menton, with friendly attentive staff.

We had a lovely week staying at this beautiful hotel. Had a room with sea view and balcony which made it even more special. The room was comfortable clean and staff friendly. It would have been even better if it had a fridge and if the complimentary coffee etc was not just a welcome gesture. Thoroughly enjoy our stay. Would love to return.

Perfect location, friendly helpful staff always available to help. Comfort room with sea view and balcony small for a weeks stay.
A kettle was provided in the room but tea,milk etc. were not replenished after first day and there was no fridge, only stocked drinks one.
Breakfast was usual buffet arrangement, limited choice and do it yourself, on a tray and returned, McDonalds style.
The area for the buffet was in a very small area and needed reorganising to provide more space for guests to move.
Not a 3 star breakfast experience very chaotic
Would suit 1/2 night stay but I would not recommend for a week.
Menton is beautiful and plenty of restaurants and bars to visit.
