A fitting end to a pilgrimage rich in history
Pros:

Superb location and amazing historic building. It was great to see it being so carefully and thoughtfully repaired and restored in places and with no intrusion on guests.
Staff were almost all exceptionally helpful and professional. A delight to have been able to experience it. Thank you to the whole team.

Cons:

Busy times did understandably cause delays in service and needed a few prompts but that was exceptional. It would have been nice to open the lovely windows in the room but this was not possible as they were stuck. Neighbouring rooms did not have this problem.

Such a shame this hotel was a disappointment and was incredibly expensive for what it offered
Pros:

This historic property was in a fabulous location central to everything

Cons:

This is an expensive 5 star hotel whose room amenities are basic. Some of the reception staff are rude and disrespectful. The upgraded rooms are at the front of the hotel and very noisy.

Interesting but disappointing.
Pros:

Beautiful old building.

Cons:

Alongside the square and adjacent to the stunning cathedral and full of people who wished to see it. The most expensive of the many Paradors I have used and I foolishly assumed there would be a pool and other facilities for guests. I would never use a hotel in Spain without these. My fault but the absence should, I feel, be more apparent.

Worth the splurge
Pros:

Fantastic location that embraces the culture and history of Santiago. It’s definitely worth the splurge. The room was very well laid out in the beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was massive. Breakfast was included, and it was absolutely delicious with a huge spread of a variety of meats, cheese, pastries, with made to order omelettes and eggs.

Nothing. It was great.

Le manque d’investissement dans le personnel. Ne prends pas la peine de répondre et contenter ses clients. Ne pas être capable de proposer un prestataire pour le portage des sacs. Au pris ou l’on paye sa chambre, je trouve cela très moyen

Perfect way to end our Camino journey!

The location to the cathedral was perfect. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. The common area were nicely appointed and comfortable. The staff were great and friendly. And great breakfast too.
