The property was beautiful and the rooms were spacious, clean and had a double sink and bathtub. It was a beautiful large room
There were no extra touches. The staff was neither friendly nor unfriendly. They simply did their job. For an expensive night there was no water in the room, very little to no food available.
Have stayed at this magnificent establishment several times over the last 30 years but had not been since before Covid.
The spacious, airy rooms are magnificent with large comfy beds, opulent bathrooms and fab old-time shutters so this makes for a great sleep as it's also so quiet.
The feel of the place - with its random chambers dotted with antique armchairs and adorned by dark ancient paintings, a wonderful outside terrace and ample, relaxing garden with interspersed little chairs and tables - is sublime.
There's a cosey bar too and a giant living room.
Further, the centre of this charming town - a miniature version of nearby Santiago - is charming, with lots of quirky indie shops, cafés, squares, and colonnades - and only a 10 minute walk.
Alas, however: there is no longer any parking, and, though the nearest car park is only a couple of minutes walk its underground facilities are horrendously cramped and totally unsuitable for anything beyond a Mini or a small Fiat and it reeks of fish as it's beneath the town's market.
Also, though Paradors were never famed for their food, their sumptuous multi choice breakfasts were mythical, but now - at a whopping 20€ a head - what was on offer here was a very poor offering indeed.
The price too - up by 30/40% since Covid - seems unwarranted too.
location was good.
really needs a renovation.
Staff when we arrived seemed really tired. When shift changed the staff seemed much more friendly &
helpful
Flot nostalgisk hotel
Prisen lidt i den høje ende
The bar 🍻
2 beds...& Internet dodgy at best
Toilet flushed particularly slowly 🙄
Nice hotel, loved the old building. Nice patio area. Bed comfortable and everything as you would expect from a parador
Bit overpriced, even for a parador
No parking arrangements
Localização e beleza do edifício histórico
Banheira escorregadia e pouca pressão na água do chuveiro
We had two rooms on the fourth floor of this historic hotel. Great location very near to the Portuguese Camino and a short walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. Very clean, nice linens and a good sized bathroom with great shower pressure once we figured out how to have water come out of the shower head (pull out hard on the knob on the side).

Schönes Hotel in sehr guter Lage
Keine Haken für Jacken im Vorzimmer
