Charmant hôtel dominant la ria et l'historique arsenal
Pros:

Le Parador de Ferrol, sis dans un beau bâtiment historique comme tous les Paradores, domine l'arsenal de Ferrol à proximité ainsi que la ria, en en offrant une vue imparable ou incomparable au petit-déjeuner (par ailleurs délicieux comme dans tous les Paradores). L'arsenal de Ferrol est le principal port militaire espagnol sur la côte atlantique depuis Philippe V. Les bâtiments de l'arsenal datent de la seconde moitié du XVIIIème siècle et sont proposés à l'inscription sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial. Il y est question de marine (d'"armada" en espagnol) mais non d'Invincible Armada, dont l'époque remontant au XVIème siècle est en effet bien antérieure à la construction de l'arsenal de Ferrol.

L'hôtel est un 3 étoiles mais (sis dans un bâtiment historique) infiniment plus charmant et plus beau extérieurement que les 4 étoiles de la ville. Les chambres sont jolies, propres et soignées. La cafétéria est bonne, avec de bonnes "croquetas" espagnoles, de bonnes soupes... Le service est impeccable comme dans tous les Paradores, en particulier celui de la très rapide blanchisserie. Le personnel est souriant.

L'hôtel est proche du meilleur restaurant de la ville, O Camiño do Inglés, dont le nom provient du Chemin des Anglais (appartenant aux chemins de Compostelle), les Anglais débarquant autrefois à Ferrol pour rejoindre Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle. L'excellent Teatro Jofre aux excellents spectacles n'est pas très loin, ni le très complet grand magasin El Corte Inglés, ni l'excellent restaurant Bacelo recommandé par le Guide Michelin. Grâce à un pont qui traverse la ria (ou une embarcation l'été), il n'est pas très difficile de rejoindre l'autre rive pour visiter la charmante, pittoresque et antique Royale Ville de Mugardos, autrefois le port le plus important de la ria avant qu'elle ne soit détrônée par Ferrol.

Beautiful building and location in the city.

Cons:

There is no parking facilities except for a few parking spaces in front of the parador, it is always very hard to find a parking place. The coffee bar is nice and many customers opt for a light dinner there instead of going to the restaurant. As a result the bar is usually full at rush hours and the few bartenders have it hard to keep up serving so many customers at times.

Pros:

Todo lo que se puede pedir de un parador. Sabes que vas a uno de los mejores hoteles (si no el mejor) de la ciudad y lo que encuentras no desentona con las expectativas. Personal super educado y correcto, sin duda un valor seguro a la hora de viajar

Finde en Ferrol para recordar
Pros:

La amabilidad del personal y la opción de late check out, un plus de comodidad. El restaurante, buenísima relación calidad/precio.

Cons:

Tal vez el mobiliario y la puerta un poco ruidosos (es lo que tiene el encanto de los establecimientos con historia)

Hotel tradicional y personal muy atento
Pros:

Un servicio espléndido por parte del recepcionista la tarde-noche del 30 de julio porque nos ayudó a localizar la maleta que nos había perdido la aerolínea e incluso consiguió que no tuviésemos que pagar por su traslado a Ferrol desde el aeropuerto. Muchas gracias.
