No hot water, no staff on site to help

Cons:

We had no hot water. It wasn’t even warm. Apparently the boiler broke. Thiis delayed us by almost 2 hours and they couldn’t come up with a solution until we kept calling and going hi reception

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this hotel based on my experience.

The room felt tired and in need of refurbishment, with outdated décor and a dated bathroom. The bed covers had visible stains, which wasn’t a great first impression. The shower was another disappointment, with very low water pressure and no hot water on the morning I was checking out.

The final issue came at breakfast. Despite being a hotel guest, I was told I wasn’t a resident and was charged for breakfast. I was in a hurry, so rather than argue, I paid and left. It was a frustrating way to end my stay.

Overall, the hotel has potential, but the cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service all need significant improvement.

Ein sehr schöner erholsamer Aufenthalt
Pros:

Tolle Lage direkt am Kanal, was aber dennoch sehr ruhig gelegen war, super nettes Personal, hatten unseren 13. Hochzeitstag und alle waren sehr freundlich ☺️. Wir hatten ein totes Zimmer. Sheetal eine sehr nette Mitarbeiterin hat uns ein Stück Hochzeitstagstorte (😅) gebracht. Das Hotel ist etwas in sie Jahre gekommen und bräuchte hier und da ein wenig Zuwendung, aber es war dennoch rundum schön. Vielen Dank an alle 😊

Pros:

Nice room, view of canal and clean. Comfortable beds. Breakfast , continental choice to start then a nice menu of cooked breakfast to choose from which was delicious (Eggs Royale) . Staff very friendly and helpful 😊

Hôtel sympathique au calme.
Pros:

L’hôtel semble vieillot, mais la chambre était spacieuse et confortable avec une belle terrasse avec vue sur le Caledonian Canal. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et le salon-bar très agréable. Proche de toutes les activités que nous avions programmé.

Cons:

L’accueil pourrait être meilleur. Le peu de personnel devant s’occuper de tout en est sans doute à l’origine. Pas de borne de recharge électrique.

ok for a base to sight see from. then come home and go to bed. we did not eat at the hotel at all.
Pros:

we did NOT use th dining room as we were eating out. the hotel was a base only.
best feature..watching the boats go down Neptunes stair case

Cons:

the bedroom was tired. the carpet was stained the bathroom could have done with a deep clean in the shower area, the wardrobe was a bit passed it. the veranda needed a bit of TLC.

Good overall but quite expensive as breakfast was not included.
Pros:

Location was great, staff were very good.

Cons:

The shower was not great as could move and spray the ceiling, and shower head would move around when trying to adjust the temperature. The toilet seat was not securely fixed and would move around.

Pros:

Location was good

Cons:

Very very dated hotel decor. Our bathroom had a shower curtain and it was simply disgusting and mouldy. The manager did replace it once I complained though and was very nice about it. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was small. We don’t think it was worth the price we paid.
