Children between the ages of 6 & 16 are able to use the swimming pool at restricted times and must always be accompanied by an adult. The restricted times are 10:00 - 12 noon & 14:00 - 16:45.
Spa use is included on your arrival day for guests enjoying a bed and breakfast, or dinner bed and breakfast package. Spa use is not included at any time when booking a room only rate

Room was a bit dated
I was gifted an ultimate indulgence spa day for my birthday. This was just for me. However, I did not really fancy going alone so I booked a room for the night to get spa access for my partner. It was £109 for spa access, full breakfast and I was upgraded to a garden side view room for nothing by Nessa. From start to finish the staff were lovely, the room was beautiful and the spa and treatments were first class. I have never ever fell asleep during a treatment. I chose a full body massage by Clare and woke myself up snoring, that is how relaxed I was. Clare was alreally good and calming to be around. The food was lovely and we spent a lot of time in the hot tubs outside, as the sun had come out. I had such a lovely chilled Sunday with my partner that we said we would do this again. This was my first time staying at Thornton hall and it won’t be my last. Thank you so much x
Lovely stay with my sister for our birthday treat. Room was gorgeous ( bit warm at night!), staff friendly, and evening meal was gorgeous! Really enjoyed the spa. Overall a wonderful relaxing experience
Beautiful place with lovely friendly staff
The hotel is beautiful, the perfect mixture of new with old elegant style. Our hotel suite overlooking the gardens was spectacular. The food was ‘high’ end, cooked to perfection. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a VERY memorable one. We will definitely be back soon.
Had amazing weekend at Thornton Hall Spa hotel. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely food was out of this world. Spa was lovely and the outside hot tubs which I enjoyed will define back and highly recommend it anyone thinking about going
Fantastic stay and Spa experience. The staff were outstanding and sp welcoming. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. We ate at the Brassiere on the Saturday evening and enjoyed the tapas selection.
The whole stay was so relaxing and easy. Just what we wanted.
Loved everything
Booked one night as a last minute get away not having been here before. All I can say is we can't wait to return. It's only 15 minutes away from where we live so can't believe we've never thought to stay there before. The standard double room was great. Lovely big bed which was very comfortable and the rest of the room facilities were good. Booked the room with spa access which was amazing. We love thermal suites and this one was one of the better ones we have visited with a very ornate pool.
Later on we dined in the restaurant both having filet steak which was cooked perfectly. Starters and deserts very tasty.
We both enjoyed a really good night's sleep on a very comfortable bed, followed by an excellent breakfast.
All on all, one night just wasn't enough and we will have to look at coming back very soon.
The hotel was in beautiful surroundings and felt relaxing before we even hit the spa.
Hotel: Staff were very polite and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage in the reception before we checked in. This enabled us to us the spa facilities.Our room was clean and spacious with a balcony.
Breakfast was buffet style. It had a vast selection and was hot and fresh.
Spa: some lovely features, including an outside jacuzzi. The downsides were, there were not enough loungers (only about 6) and there was an aerobics class going on in the pool which took up half of it.
The indian head massage, by Claire, was the highlight of the trip. Would highly recommend.
